The Bihar Government has announced a major recruitment drive under the Bihar Panchayat Pashu Sahayak Vacancy 2026, aimed at strengthening rural employment and animal husbandry services.
As per the latest update, 8053 Animal Assistant (Pashu Sahayak) posts are expected to be created across all पंचायतs in the state.
This initiative will improve livestock services, dairy development, and fisheries support at the grassroots level.

Under this recruitment drive, one Animal Assistant will be appointed in each of the 8053 Panchayats.

Candidates must meet basic educational qualifications to apply.
10+2 (Science or Agriculture) from a recognised board
OR
Diploma in Animal Husbandry / Veterinary
Candidates with knowledge of dairy, livestock, or agriculture may get preference.
Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: 37 years
Age relaxation will be provided to reserved categories as per government norms.
