Assam NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 Schedule: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam, has released the Assam NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 Schedule for admission to vacant MBBS and BDS seats in the Government Medical and Dental Colleges of Assam for the 2026 session. The schedule was issued through an educational notice dated September 5, 2026.

The second round of online counselling will be conducted for candidates seeking admission under the State quota seats. Candidates who have qualified in NEET UG 2026 and meet the eligibility requirements can participate in the counselling process.

According to the notice, candidates who already registered and participated in Round 1 Assam NEET UG Counselling 2026 do not need to register again. They can directly participate in the online choice-filling process for Round 2 for fresh seat allotment or change of college.

The Assam NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 registration portal will remain available from September 6 to September 7, 2026, up to 11:55 PM.

Eligible candidates who are participating in the second round should complete the online registration process within the specified deadline. Candidates are advised to carefully check all details before submitting the registration form.

Assam NEET UG Counselling 2026 Choice Filling

After registration, candidates will be able to fill their preferred choices of colleges and courses from September 8 to September 9, 2026, up to 10:00 PM.

Candidates who participated in Round 1 can also participate in the Round 2 choice-filling process for fresh allotment or change of college.

Choice Locking Date

The online choice-locking facility will be available on September 9, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 11:59 PM.

Candidates are advised to lock their choices within the specified period. As per the notice, choices will be automatically locked at 11:59 PM if they are not locked earlier by the candidate.

Assam NEET UG Round 2 Seat Allotment Result 2026

The processing of seat allotment will take place from September 10 to September 11, 2026. After processing the data, the Assam NEET UG Counselling Round 2 Result 2026 will be displayed along with the modalities of admission on September 11, 2026.

Candidates allotted seats in Round 2 will have to follow the admission instructions issued by the concerned authorities.

Assam NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 Reporting

Candidates who are provisionally selected in the second round of counselling will have to report to their respective allotted institutions for admission on September 17 or September 18, 2026, during office hours.

Who Can Participate in Assam NEET UG Counselling Round 2?

Candidates who have qualified in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG-2026) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) may participate in the counselling, provided they fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed under the Medical Colleges and Dental Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into 1st year MBBS/BDS courses) Rules, 2017, as amended up to 2026, and meet the applicable NEET-UG 2026 cut-off requirements.
