DBF Eligibility Criteria 2024, IIBF Diploma in Banking and Finance Eligibility

DBF Eligibility Criteria 2024: It is expected that successful candidates for the Certificate in Banking and Finance will have a competitive advantage and will be taken up by banks and financial institutions and the Certificate in Banking and Finance will emerge as a professional qualification. Priority is given along with a graduate degree to work in the banking and finance sector.

DBF Eligibility Criteria 2024

• Not be a member of the Institute.
• The candidate must have passed the 12th standard examination in any discipline or its equivalent or the candidate must have passed the BC/BF examination conducted by IIBF (Members of the
• Institute are not eligible to appear for the IIBF Diploma in Banking and Finance examination as they are eligible for the JAIIB examination In case any member of the Institute appears for the DBF examination, his/her result/certificate will be canceled.
• Candidates must complete 10+2 in the commerce stream from a recognised board of school education.
• Candidates who have completed their graduation degree in relevant subjects are eligible to apply for this course.
• Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in 10+2 or graduation to apply for this course.
• Candidates must have studied Mathematics or Economics in 10+2 or graduated to apply for this course.
• Candidates in the final year of graduation can also apply for the course, however, they have to apply their provisional final mark sheet at the time of counselling process wherein they have to score a minimum of 50% marks.
• Candidates in some cases after a period qualify entrance examination with a good score to meet the cut off and appear on the merit list.
• In some cases after appearing for entrance exams, students have to also undergo a personal interview round.

Diploma in Banking and Finance Passing Criteria

• The minimum score to pass the subject is 50/100.
• Candidates who score at least 45 points in each subject with a total of 50% in all subjects in one sitting will also be declared to have passed the exam.
• Applicants will be allowed to retain credit for the subject they have passed in the attempt until the expiry of the exam passing period.

DBF Eligibility Time Limit

• Candidates must pass the exam within 2 years (i.e. 4 consecutive attempts).
• Candidates who do not pass the exam within the prescribed two-year period must re-register. Such candidates will not be awarded credit for previously passed subjects, if any.
• The 2-year period will begin from the date of the first attempt request. Attempts will be counted regardless of whether the candidate takes the exam or not.
