IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2025 (Revised)
All the exams will be held in online mode and will be of an objective type. All sections (except the English Language section & Hindi Language section) will be bilingual (i.e., will be asked in both English & Hindi). There will be both sectional as well as overall cut-off in IBPS PO Exam. 1/4th of marks will be deducted for every answer attempted wrong by a candidate in IBPS PO Exam. IBPS PO Prelims Exam Pattern 2025
The preliminary phase of the IBPS PO 2025 exam acts as a screening round to shortlist candidates for the next stages. It includes three sections and lasts for a total of 1 hour. In this phase, candidates will have to answer 100 multiple-choice questions. However, they should be careful with their answers as there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect response. To qualify for the next stage, candidates must achieve the minimum cut-off marks set by IBPS in all the sections of the Prelims exam.

IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern 2025
To be eligible for the IBPS PO mains exam 2025, candidates must qualify in the prelims round. The IBPS PO Mains Exam comprises four sections, and there's an additional section specifically for the English Language. The exam will consist of a total of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and has a duration of 3 hours. For each incorrect answer, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks. Each section in the mains exam will have a designated time limit, similar to the prelims exam. To pass the main exam, candidates need to clear each section individually. A new addition to the IBPS PO Mains Exam is the Descriptive Test, which carries 25 marks. This test assesses candidates' writing skills and requires them to write an essay and a letter. It is important to pass this section by achieving the minimum cut-off mark.

The interview holds a total weightage of 100 marks, and candidates must secure a minimum score of 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD) to qualify for this phase.
