Age limits range from 20-30 years for Scale I positions (relaxations up to 15 years for SC/ST/PWD), varying by stream like 25 years max for IT and 35 for Finance Officer. - A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement, or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from countries like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, East African countries, etc., with the intention of permanent settlement in India.

- In case of dual specializations, at least one specialization must be within the specified field. For major/minor specializations, the major specialization must belong to the designated stream.
- Applicants holding a postgraduate degree (MMS or MBA) or a postgraduate diploma with more than two specializations are not eligible to apply.
- Each candidate is allowed to apply for only one position; submitting multiple applications will result in automatic disqualification.
Candidates who are physically or orthopedically disabled will be eligible for the scribe facility. However, they will be required to arrange the scribe at their own cost. The scribe should be from a completely different academic background. Also, these candidates will be subjected to an extra compensatory time of twenty minutes for each hour.
IBPS SO Age Limit
The minimum age limit as per the IBPS SO eligibility is 20 years. Whereas, the upper age limit is going to be 30 years for the unreserved category as on 01/07/2026.
