The RBI Office Attendant exam is one of the most popular government job exams for candidates who have passed Class 10. Many students apply for this post every year because it offers job stability, respectful working conditions, and a strong salary structure.
Vidhu Sir explained the RBI Office Attendant previous year cut-off marks, overall trends, and category-wise analysis of the RBI Office Attendant exam. Understanding the cut-off trend helps students set a proper target score. It also helps them plan their preparation in a focused manner.
The RBI Office Attendant exam is conducted by the Reserve Bank of India. Recruitment is done office-wise. It is not state-wise. This means every RBI regional office has a separate cut-off.
The exam is conducted in online mode. It is objective in nature. The total marks are 120. The total duration is 90 minutes. There is no sectional time limit.
The sections included in the exam are:
Reasoning Ability
Numerical Ability
English Language
General Awareness
There is negative marking for wrong answers. So accuracy is very important.
Many students prepare without knowing the required score. This creates confusion. When you know the previous year cut-off, you get clarity. Previous year cut-off helps you:
Understand the competition level
Set a realistic target
Improve speed and accuracy
Focus on scoring sections
Vidhu Sir clearly explained that students must not aim for the minimum cut-off. They should aim higher than the previous cut-off to stay on the safe side.
RBI follows strict eligibility rules. If any information is found incorrect during verification, the candidate can be disqualified.
Candidate must have passed Class 10.
Candidate must not be a graduate as of 1st January 2026.
This is a very important condition. If a candidate hides their graduation status, RBI will detect it during background verification. This may result in disqualification and even a ban from future RBI or IBPS exams.
Must be 10th or 12th pass.
If graduation was completed during service, then not eligible.
Minimum 15 years of service in the defence forces is required.
Candidates must read all instructions carefully before applying.
The RBI Office Attendant exam pattern is simple but competitive.
Total Marks: 120
Total Time: 90 minutes
Mode: Online
No sectional timing
The absence of sectional timing is the biggest challenge. Many students spend too much time on their strong sections. This creates pressure later.
Cut-offs are influenced by factors such as the number of vacancies, applicants, paper difficulty, and normalization. In 2021, vacancies were higher than in subsequent years.

A cut-off as high as 111 out of 120 indicates that the exam is not conceptually difficult. Questions are generally simple and solvable. The single most important factor for success is speed. Your ability to solve questions quickly and accurately will determine your rank.
The cut-off is different for each category:
General
OBC
SC
ST
EWS
The general category cut-off is usually the highest. OBC cut-off is slightly lower. SC and ST cut-offs are lower than General and OBC.
However, the difference is not very large. Competition is strong in all categories.
Vidhu Sir advised that candidates should not depend only on category relaxation. A safe target should be above 100 marks.
Vidhu Sir suggested a proper time division to manage the 90 minutes effectively.
Reasoning โ 25 minutes
Quantitative Aptitude โ 25 minutes
English โ 20 minutes
General Awareness โ 10 to 20 minutes
If you complete one section early, you can use extra time for difficult questions.
Regular practice with this time split in mock tests is very important. Without practice, time management becomes difficult in the actual exam.
The Language Proficiency Test is compulsory. RBI is very strict about it.
If a candidate fails the LPT, selection is cancelled.
Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak the local language of the selected office.
