SBI Apprentice Syllabus 2026 - Local Language

If you score above a certain limit in the first online test, you'll move to the next test, where you'll be checked on a language you pick based on the state's options. The bank will conduct this language test.
  • If you have a 10th or 12th-grade mark sheet or certificate showing you've studied the local language, you don't need to take the local language test.
  • Failing the local language test means you can't proceed with the SBI Apprentice selection process.

SBI Apprentice Local Languages for a Particular State

In the previous SBI Apprentice recruitment cycles, candidates had to appear for a “Test of Local Language” as part of the selection process. Applicants were required to choose the local language according to the state they applied for. Candidates who could not provide proof of studying the selected local language in Class 10 or 12 had to qualify for this language test after the online examination. The same process is expected to continue for SBthe I Apprentice 2026 recruitment by the State Bank of India (SBI).

The SBI Apprentice Recruitment 2026 exam has three mandatory steps. The first step is an online written test worth 100 marks. To pass this stage, you must meet the required cut-off marks. In the SBI Apprentice Stage 2, there's a Local Language Test, and every candidate must take it. This test is in the language specific to the state you applied for, as mentioned earlier.
