CHSE Odisha +2 Compartmental Exam 2027 Update: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, has issued the guidelines for the Annual Higher Secondary Examination (AHSE) 2027, including the rules for students who want to appear as Compartmental candidates.

As per the notification dated September 24, 2026, students who meet the prescribed conditions can apply for the CHSE Odisha +2 Compartmental Exam 2027. CHSE Odisha +2 Compartmental Exam 2027: What Is the 210 Marks Rule?

The 210 marks rule is the main eligibility condition for appearing in the CHSE Odisha +2 Compartmental Examination.

A candidate must have:

• Secured at least 210 marks in aggregate in the Annual H.S. Examination 2025 or 2026.

• Failed in one or more papers, or had paper(s) cancelled due to malpractice in the Annual H.S. or Instant Examination.

• Chosen to appear for the failed subjects only.

Therefore, securing 210 marks in aggregate alone does not make a student eligible. The candidate must also meet the other conditions specified by CHSE.

The eligibility applies to candidates who:

Which Subjects Can Students Appear For?

Compartmental candidates can appear only for the subjects they have failed.

Students cannot use the Compartmental provision to appear for subjects they have already passed. The failed papers have to be cleared according to the rules applicable to Compartmental candidates.

How Many Chances Are Available for CHSE Odisha Compartmental Exam?

CHSE Odisha provides the Compartmental appearance facility for the next two consecutive examinations from the examination in which the candidate originally failed while securing the required aggregate of 210 marks.

This means eligible students get two consecutive chances to clear all their failed subjects.

However, the candidate must clear all failed subjects at one time. The failed papers cannot be cleared separately over different Compartmental attempts.

Example

Suppose a student failed in the Annual H.S. Examination 2026 but secured the required 210 aggregate marks.

The student can use the Compartmental facility in the next two consecutive eligible examinations. However, the student must appear for and clear all the failed subjects together rather than clearing one failed paper in one attempt and another in a later attempt.

A student who appears without meeting the eligibility conditions, after the permitted two chances, or attempts to clear failed papers in a piecemeal manner will not be entitled to receive the Pass Certificate under the stated regulations.
