ICAI CA Foundation September Dates 2026

The ICAI will conduct the CA Foundation examination for the September 2026 session in offline mode across various centers in India and abroad. The exam consists of four papers, with the first two being subjective and the latter two objective (MCQs), covering subjects like Accounting, Business Laws, Quantitative Aptitude, and Business Economics. 

CA Foundation Exam 2026 Application Process

The CA Foundation Exam 2026 application process involves the following steps:

• Registration: Candidates have to register themselves for the CA Foundation course on the official ICAI website. It requires filling up of personal and academic information, uploading scanned copies of the Class 10 and 12 certificates and other required documents, a passport-sized photograph and signature.

• Payment: The candidate is required to pay the registration fee of ₹1500 ($325 for US Candidates) online through the registration process.

• Form Filling: The candidate needs to fill the exam application form available on the ICAI Self Service Portal (SSP) before the due date (generally four months before the exam).

• Document Submission: The candidate is required to submit necessary documents like the printed application form, copies of educational certificates etc.

CA Foundation Exam 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The ICAI has laid down the eligibility criteria for the CA Foundation Exam 2026. Aspirants who have passed Class 12th from a recognized board or students who are in their 12th class can take the exam. Students can apply for provisional registration after the completion of Class 10th but the candidate is required to complete their four months of study before appearing for the CA Foundation Exam. This is to ensure that the students have the basic required education to understand the subjects of Accounting, Business Laws, Economics, and Mathematics.

CA Foundation 2026 Syllabus

CA Foundation Exam 2026 Exam Pattern

The CA Foundation Exam 2026 is divided into 4 papers with a total of 400 marks. It is an offline exam that is held 3 times a year. Paper 1 and Paper 2 are subjective in nature and based on Accounting, business laws, and communication. Paper 3 and Paper 4 are objective in nature and based on Mathematics, logical reasoning, statistics, economics, and general commercial knowledge. Every paper has a maximum of 100 marks. The total duration for the exam is 2 to 3 hours per paper.

CA Foundation Exam Form September 2026

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially announced the exam form schedule for the September 2026 session.

• Form Start Date: 6 July 2026
• Last Date (Without Late Fee): 19 July 2026
• Last Date (With Late Fee): 22 July 2026
• Correction Window: 23 to 25 July 2026

Candidates must fill out the exam form online through the ICAI Self-Service Portal within the deadline. A late fee will be applicable after 19 July 2026. It is advised to complete the application early and carefully verify all details such as exam centre, medium, and personal information before final submission.

Eligibility for the CA Foundation Exam registration is – passed or appeared in class 12 from a recognized board. The process of registration on the CA Foundation Exam through ICAI online includes – creating a new user account, filling personal and academic details, uploading required supporting documents(Class 10 Mark sheet/Board certificate, Class 12 Mark sheet/Board certificate, Passport size photo & signature) and paying the registration fee of ₹9,000(Indian students).

CA Foundation Admit Card September 2026

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will release the CA Foundation September 2026 admit card in the last week of August 2026 (expected).

As per the official trend, ICAI usually issues admit cards 14–15 days before the exam date. Since the CA Foundation September 2026 exams are scheduled from 2 to 9 September 2026, the admit card is likely to be available around mid to last week of August 2026.

CA Foundation Exam Results 2026

The CA Foundation Exam 2026 Result will be declared around 6–8 weeks after the completion of the examination. The results will be announced online on the official website of ICAI. The candidates can check the result on the official website by using their roll number and PIN or registration number. ICAI also publishes the pass percentage and toppers' list along with the result.
