When dedication meets consistency, success becomes inevitable — and that’s exactly what Purva Bansal from Siliguri, West Bengal has proved by securing All India Rank 18 in the ICAI CA Foundation September 2025 results.
Let’s hear from Purva himself as he shares his journey, subject-wise strategy, and how he managed to balance confidence and consistency throughout his preparation.
Q. Purva, first of all, congratulations! How are you feeling after securing AIR 18?
Purva: Thank you so much! It feels amazing to make my family proud and also my teachers at CA Wala. The happiness on everyone’s face makes all the hard work worth it.
Q. That’s wonderful! Can you share your total marks and subject-wise scores?
Purva: Sure, sir, I scored a total of 326 marks —
Principles and Practice of Accounting: 90
Business Laws: 59
Quantitative Aptitude: 87
Business Economics: 90
Q. Brilliant performance! How did you prepare for each subject?
Purva:
Accounts: I focused mainly on solving questions. Since I had Accounts in Class 12, it wasn’t very difficult. Regular problem-solving helped a lot.
Business Laws: This was my first time studying Law, so I concentrated on understanding each concept properly, especially the Indian Contract Act. Once the concepts were clear, solving questions became easier.
Quantitative Aptitude: Maths has always been my strong subject, so I followed what the sir taught, completed the module questions, and that helped me manage this paper smoothly.
Business Economics: I first built my conceptual understanding and then practiced MCQs regularly. That combination worked very well.
Q. That’s a simple yet powerful approach! What do you think helped you the most in your preparation?
Purva: Consistency and regularity. I made sure to study every day, revise frequently, and not skip practice. Staying regular made all the difference.
Q. Many students struggle with motivation. What kept you going?
Purva: Honestly, I just focused on learning, not on the rank. My teachers always said — “Rank is a by-product of your hard work.” I believed that and kept putting in my best every day.
Q. How was your family’s reaction when they heard about your rank?
Purva: My mom was extremely proud. She said she always knew I’d do well because I’ve been sincere since school. She has been my biggest support throughout.
Q. That’s heartwarming! What’s next for you now?
Purva: I’ll continue my journey with CA Wala for CA Intermediate. I’m excited to learn more and prepare for the next milestone.
From Siliguri to the national merit list — Purva Bansal’s journey stands as an inspiration for every CA aspirant. His strategy was simple — strong concepts, regular practice, and complete consistency.
We congratulate Purva and his family on this incredible achievement and wish him the very best for his CA Intermediate journey ahead! 🌟
