How Soumya Jain Secured AIR 15 in CA Foundation May 2026 with PW

For thousands of CA Foundation aspirants, the journey to securing a good rank requires regular effort, discipline, and consistent preparation. Every revision, practice session, and test can help students understand their strengths and improve areas where they need more work.

Soumya Jain's journey is a strong example of this approach. He secured 347 marks and AIR 15 in the CA Foundation May 2026 examination by staying consistent with his classes, revising regularly, completing the syllabus, and practising questions and tests. His preparation also focused on avoiding backlogs and keeping up with the study plan throughout his journey.

How Soumya Jain Started His CA Foundation Preparation

Soumya's preparation focused on keeping pace with his classes instead of allowing portions to accumulate. He regularly revised the portions covered in class and followed the study tasks given to him.

Talking about the approach that helped him secure AIR 15, Soumya said:

β€œAisa kuch nahi tha, sir. Bas discipline, dedication, consistency kuch bhi aisa backlog nahi hone diya. Bas jo saath mein aap padha rahe the bas usko padhta chala gaya.”

He explained that he studied through the Sampurna 2.0 batch and used Chanakya 3.0 for revision. His live classes formed the main learning routine, while the revision classes helped him revisit the topics.

How Soumya Jain Managed Revision and Syllabus Coverage

For Soumya, regular revision was an important part of his CA Foundation preparation strategy. He followed the daily revision work and aimed to revise the complete syllabus instead of leaving selected topics.

He said:

β€œAap bas starting se aise raha. Aapki classes rehti thi. Usko saath saath mein revise karna hai. Roz ke roz aapka homework rehta tha ki aaj ye portion revise karna hai. Aaj ye portion revise karna hai. To bas usko revise karte gaye.”

Soumya also followed the guidance around revising the syllabus multiple times and attended writing-practice sessions. This helped him maintain confidence in his preparation.

He did have occasional backlogs when he had to attend family functions or go outside. However, his approach was to cover the missed portion the next day rather than allowing it to continue.

β€œBacklog matlab ek do classes ka kabhi-kabhi hua, kabhi bahar jaane ka ho gaya tha. Family function ho gaya tha to usse kabhi hua tha lekin phir agle din zyada padh ke usko cover karna hai wahi target rehta tha.”

This approach helped him maintain continuity and keep his preparation aligned with the classes.

How PW Supported Soumya Jain's CA Foundation Preparation

PW resources were an important part of Soumya's preparation routine. He used different batches for learning and revision and also practised questions through MCQ resources.

For Economics, Soumya specifically discussed the MCQ book and previous-year questions:

β€œMaine MCQ ki zyada practice karta tha taaki wo jitne bhi previous year ke question hai koi chhute nahi.”

He also used the Pro Batch tests, including subjective tests conducted at intervals and weekly tests. In addition, he attempted mock questions and mock papers conducted during his preparation.

β€œJi sir wo Pro batch ke saath mein saath mein jo test hote the 15 days 20 days mein jo hote the subjective test wo diya tha. Uske alawa weekly test hote the wo diye the.”

These resources supported his preparation through regular revision, question practice and self-assessment rather than relying only on classroom learning.

Soumya Jain's Approach to MCQs, Tests and Difficult Questions

Soumya's CA Foundation strategy was not limited to completing classes. He focused on practising questions and ensuring that the syllabus was covered completely.

For Quantitative Aptitude, he said that he was able to attempt difficult questions but sometimes made mistakes in comparatively simple questions:

β€œJo thode se difficult questions the wo to maine kar liye aur silly jo silly questions the usmein mistake ho jati hai.”

For Accounts, he attempted the complete paper and expected a good score, although he felt that his presentation could have been better.

He also made sure that topics were not deliberately left out. When asked whether he had skipped topics, his response was clear:
