CA Foundation preparation can become stressful when exam pressure, nervousness, and mistakes start affecting confidence just before the test. Mumbai’s Vihaan Parikh faced a similar phase during his May 2026 attempt, but instead of letting self-doubt take over, he returned to structured revision and consistent practice.
His approach helped him score 354 marks and secure AIR 8 in CA Foundation May 2026. PW resources played a supporting role through modules, marathons, Star Sheets, one-shot videos, and the Revisor Textbook, helping him revise concepts and rebuild confidence across subjects. His journey shows how focused preparation and the right study resources can help students stay consistent even during stressful exam phases.
Before diving into revision techniques or shortcuts, Vihaan built his preparation on one simple principle - starting from the module itself.
"Sir, mainly toh main sabse pehle toh start module se hi karta tha because module hi base hai and ICAI bhi I feel wahi base ginta hai. So first priority hamesha and hamesha module ko hi dena chahiye. So first module ke saare illustrations and questions cover ho jaaye.
Uske baad humein apne exam paper ya MTP ya RTP uske taraf jaana chahiye. But sabse pehle toh chapter cover hona chahiye, and usko baar baar jaise hum syllabus cover kar rahe hain, waise dheere dheere usko time to time revise bhi karna chahiye. Toh revise hote jab syllabus complete ho jaaye, then uske baad mock tests toh dene hi chahiye."
This shows Vihaan's approach was never about shortcuts - module first, chapter by chapter, followed by timely revision, and only then mock tests. This disciplined base is what carried him through the pressure that built up as the exam date got closer.
As the 14th (exam date) approached, Vihaan's confidence, which was built steadily through the module-first method, started to waver.
"Let me tell you this because yeh exam 14th ko tha. Toh uske around ek week pehle hi maine around accounts ka dheere dheere start karna kar diya tha preparations ki revise and ek thode thode sums start kiye the. Toh tab I noticed ki zara exams paas mein aa rahe the. Toh uske kaaran I sometimes got really nervous and uske kaaran main practice aur preparations ke waqt ek do mistakes karta tha. Toh uske kaaran na thoda confidence shatter ho gaya tha kind of."
This was the most fragile phase of his journey - mistakes creeping in during practice right when the exam was near, and his confidence taking a hit because of it. It was exactly at this point that he needed something to pull him back into a positive rhythm.
To fight the nervousness and rebuild his confidence, Vihaan leaned on different PW resources for different subjects.
To overcome nervousness and rebuild his confidence, Vihaan used different PW resources for each subject.
Accounts – Marathons: “Nitin sir ke marathons se dheere-dheere sums aane lage. Confidence build hua, jo exam ke din bhi kaam aaya.”
Law – Star Sheets: “Star Sheets helpful the because module ki language complicated thi. Main Star Sheets se quickly revise kar leta tha.”
Maths – One-Shot Videos: “Anurag sir ke one-shot videos se important concepts clear hue. Main key points module mein mark karke revise karta tha.”
Economics – Revisor Textbook: “Revisor textbook ke summary notes aur MCQs se important points yaad rahe aur practice ke saath confidence build hua.”
Each resource served a specific purpose—marathons helped rebuild Accounts practice, Star Sheets simplified Law, one-shot videos supported Maths revision, and the Revisor Textbook gave Economics a concise structure. Together, they helped Vihaan regain his confidence.
All this structured effort finally reflected in his marks - and in the emotions of result day.
"Sir, mere accounts mein aaye the 89, law mein aaye the 75, maths mein yaani quantitative aptitude mein 93, and fourth economics mein 97 aaye the. Taaki total 354 ban raha hai."
This total earned him All India Rank 8, notably in an attempt where the AIR 1 cutoff itself was 371 - higher than usual. Beyond the numbers, this was the emotional payoff of a year defined by nervous mistakes, structured revision, and steady confidence-building, shared first with his mother and then his father over a video call.
Vihaan Parikh's journey is a reminder that nervousness before an exam doesn't define the outcome - how a student responds to it does. From doubting himself over small mistakes to rebuilding confidence subject by subject, his story shows that structured tools used consistently can turn pressure into performance.
As he said about his CA Inter plans - "Pressure nahi lunga but try poori karunga" - his approach of honest effort over rank pressure is proof that steady preparation, not panic, is what gets results.
