CA Foundation Business Economics Syllabus 2026-27

Paper 4 of the CA Foundation course is Business Economics and carries 100 marks. ICAI's Foundation Course has four papers, with Business Economics listed as Paper 4.

The CA Foundation Economics Syllabus 2026-27, applicable from the May 2027 examination onwards, includes 10 chapters:

Chapter 1: Nature & Scope of Business Economics

An ICAI student publication has previously provided the following section-wise weightage for Business Economics under the New Scheme:

Based on this earlier ICAI weightage, Price Determination in Different Markets and Determination of National Income carried the highest individual weightage of 15% each.

CA Foundation Economics Preparation Strategy
