Preparing for CA Intermediate involves more than attending lectures. You also need time for revision, regular practice and recall, particularly for theory-heavy subjects. Ritika Goswami faced this challenge when her classes initially took up most of her day, leaving little time to revise what she had studied.
Her preparation took a different direction after a disappointing Audit test result. With guidance from PW faculty, she began studying Audit every day during revision and continued revisiting concepts across subjects. Her family's support also remained an important part of her preparation. In the September 2026 CA Intermediate examination, Ritika secured AIR 30 with 454 marks, achieving a result she had worked towards while balancing her studies and responsibilities at home.
At the beginning of her preparation, Ritika attended her lectures regularly but found it difficult to revise everything at night. She adjusted her schedule by revising topics from the previous day before starting new classes. She also began learning Law provisions early so that the subject would require less time during the final revision phase.
Explaining how she managed her revision, Ritika said:
"Sir starting mein to lectures attend kar leti thi main lekin revision ka time nahi mil paata tha to aisa rehta tha ki chaaron lectures mein hi bahut zyada time chala jaata tha phir raat mein revise karne ka koi time nahi milta tha lekin phir main next day mein classes start karne se pehle revise karti thi."
She also explained why she focused on remembering Law provisions from the beginning:
"To sir revision phase mein mujhe bahut help mili thi. Phir mujhe law ko zyada revise karna nahi pada tha aur usmein mera bahut kam time laga tha revise karne mein bhi."
This approach helped Ritika distribute her revision instead of leaving most of it until the end. Revisiting topics before new classes and learning provisions early gave her more time to focus on subjects that needed additional attention during the revision phase.
Audit became one of the most difficult parts of Ritika's preparation when she scored 17 out of 50 in a PW test. Although she understood the lectures, she realised that she was not revising the subject regularly enough to retain what she had learnt. The result left her worried about her preparation.
Ritika recalled the moment and the guidance she received from Ankit Sir:
"To us din mujhe aisa laga tha ki sir main poori heart broken thi pata nahi ho paayega nahi ho paayega us time mein maine Ankit Sir se connect kiya tha sir ne mujhe guidance di ki bachche agar aapke concepts clear hain to ho jaayega."
After that conversation, she changed her approach and made Audit a daily part of her revision routine.
She explained:
"Lekin phir baad mein roz audit padhni start kari. Sir maine apne revision phase mein ek bhi din audit nahi chhodi. Roz audit padhi."
Ritika also described how she allocated time to the subject:
"Sir agar kuch bhi subject hai audit to starting mein hi sir teen ghante meri audit rehti thi."
The low test score helped her recognise the difference between understanding a lecture and being able to recall its content later. With Ankit Sir's guidance and a consistent revision schedule, she gave Audit regular attention throughout her revision phase. She also used PW's practice sessions and subject warm-up sessions to support her preparation.
Ritika's connection with PW began during Foundation, when she watched CA YouTube lectures for Law and Accounts. Those classes influenced her decision to continue with PW for CA Intermediate. She credited the teaching approach of Sunil Sir for Law and Nitin Sir for Accounts with helping her understand and retain concepts, including Accounting Standards.
Speaking about her experience with the Foundation lectures, she said:
"Yes sir bilkul. Matlab aapki lectures dekh ke aisa laga tha ki law to bas serious sir hi kara denge. Koi tension waali baat hi nahi hai."
She also explained how Nitin Sir's teaching helped her with Accounting Standards:
"But sir Nitin Sir itne achhe se padhate the ki ek bhi AS ab bhi matlab AS bhool hi nahi hoon. Sir itne achhe se yaad hai."
During CA Intermediate preparation, Ritika also watched PW's practice sessions and subject warm-up sessions on YouTube and through her batches. These resources formed part of her revision alongside her regular study routine.
Ritika secured 454 marks and AIR 30 in CA Intermediate September 2026. Her subject-wise marks were 90 in Advanced Accounting, 72 in Law, 69 in Taxation, 88 in Costing, 71 in Audit, and 64 in Financial Management and Strategic Management.
Her result reflected the work she put into revising consistently and addressing the subjects that challenged her. The improvement in her approach to Audit, in particular, shows how identifying a gap and acting on feedback can help students make their preparation more focused.
Ritika Goswami's success story highlights the value of consistent revision, acting on feedback and seeking guidance when preparation becomes difficult. PW's CA online classes, faculty guidance and practice sessions supported her throughout this process, while her decision to revise Audit daily helped her address a subject she had initially underestimated. Her journey also reflects the role of family encouragement in sustaining preparation. For CA aspirants, her experience is a reminder that a difficult mock-test result can become an opportunity to reassess a study routine and prepare more deliberately for the final examination.
