Preparing for CA Intermediate can be challenging when you have to cover an extensive syllabus, retain theory-heavy concepts and solve lengthy practical questions within the examination time. Hardik Mittal initially felt overwhelmed by the syllabus and found subjects such as Taxation and Audit difficult to manage. He needed to improve his understanding, retain important concepts and build the speed required for the examination while keeping up with his preparation.
With the help of Physics Wallah classes, regular homework, revision sessions and mock tests, Hardik worked on these challenges throughout his preparation. He focused on learning ICAI module language for theory subjects, practising practical questions in writing and revising difficult topics through one-shot sessions. These efforts helped him strengthen his preparation and secure All India Rank 31 in the CA Intermediate September 2026 examination.
Hardik initially thought he would be able to manage CA Intermediate, but the extensive syllabus gradually made him anxious about completing the course. Covering multiple subjects while retaining concepts became one of his early challenges.
“Shuru-shuru mein thoda laga tha ki ho jayega. Par jab dheere-dheere dekha ki syllabus itna zyada hai, toh thodi tension start hone lagi. Kaise hoga ye sab?”
Written practice was another area he had to work on. Initially, he sometimes looked at solutions because he could not recall all the concepts independently. As his understanding improved, he began solving questions by writing them out himself.
“Shuru mein itna concept yaad nahi rehta tha, toh main dekh leta tha. Par jab mere concepts strong hue, toh main practice karta tha, haath se.”
These early challenges helped Hardik recognise the importance of repeated revision and written question practice in managing the CA Intermediate syllabus.
Hardik followed a regular study routine during his CA Intermediate preparation. He completed the homework assigned in class, revised theory subjects and tried to learn the topics before moving on to new material.
“Main pehle class mein jo homework milta tha, woh karta tha. Theory subjects mein jo padhaya jaata tha, usko revise karta tha aur learn karne ki try karta tha. Agar ho jaata tha, toh agle din usko dobara revise karta tha, phir nayi cheez learn karta tha.”
Revision remained an important part of his routine. He completed two to three revisions for several subjects, giving him opportunities to revisit the syllabus during preparation.
“Mere kai subjects ke do se teen revisions ho gaye the.”
For theory-heavy subjects, Hardik focused on learning the language used in the ICAI modules. This was part of his approach to preparing for papers that required him to retain theoretical content.
“Theory subjects ke liye main module language hi poori learn karta tha.”
By combining class homework, repeated revision and module-based learning, Hardik followed a consistent approach to covering the CA Intermediate syllabus.
Hardik initially attended live classes and later switched to recorded lectures, which he watched at 2x speed. Those looking for a similar learning format can compare the CA Intermediate online batches to see which option fits their study routine.
“Live class mein maza aata tha, teachers achhe se padhate the aur beech-beech mein thoda humour bhi rehta tha.”
For difficult subjects such as Taxation and Audit, Hardik revisited one-shot sessions, revised concepts and practised questions. He also focused on learning the ICAI module language for Audit.
“Baar-baar one-shot dekhta tha. Phir concepts revise karta tha, phir thode-bahut questions likh ke practice kar li.”
Hardik also attempted all the Physics Wallah mock tests available to him, which helped him practise questions and improve his speed.
“PW ke saare tests diye. Test dene se kaafi achhi practice ho gayi thi. Meri speed bhi kaafi improve hui.”
Hardik’s experience shows how regular mock tests can improve practice and exam speed, making the CA Intermediate test series relevant for practising questions under exam-like conditions.
Hardik Mittal secured All India Rank 31 in the CA Intermediate September 2026 examination. His subject-wise marks were 87 in Accounts, 77 in Law, 76 in Taxation, 79 in Costing, and 67 in Audit and FM-SM.
Despite achieving a national rank, Hardik had not expected this outcome. Before the result, he was mainly focused on passing the examination, especially after feeling that Taxation and FM-SM had not gone as well as he had hoped.
“Nahi, bilkul nahi. Mere ko lag hi nahi raha tha ki rank aa jayega. Pass hi ho jaaye, wahi kaafi hai.”
His reaction highlights the difference between his expectations and the result he ultimately achieved. Regular homework, repeated revisions, module-based learning, written practice and mock tests all formed part of his preparation.
Hardik Mittal’s CA Intermediate journey highlights the value of consistent revision, written practice and regular testing, supported by Physics Wallah classes and mock tests. By revisiting difficult theory subjects, practising questions and attempting all available PW mock tests, he worked on both retention and speed. His AIR 31 in the September 2026 examination marks a notable achievement and reflects his efforts throughout his preparation with Physics Wallah.
