CA Inter AIR 34 Rahul Agarwal: How PW Revision Marathons and Practice Helped Him Succeed

Rahul Agarwal’s CA Intermediate preparation involved more than attending lectures. He had to revisit complex accounting topics, practise questions independently and maintain consistency during the final months of revision. Repeatedly studying the same material could become monotonous, but he continued working through his revision schedule and focused on improving his ability to solve questions independently.

His preparation also included PW’s Advanced Accounting classes, revision marathons, summary charts and practice resources. Rahul used these resources alongside written question practice, mock tests and MCQs to prepare for the examination. His efforts culminated in All India Rank 34 in CA Intermediate September 2026, with 88 marks in Advanced Accounting.

Staying Consistent Through the Final Three Months of Revision

The final three months of CA Intermediate preparation required Rahul to focus on self-study and repeated revision. While the first revision helped him revisit concepts, subsequent revisions involved studying the same material repeatedly, which sometimes made the routine feel monotonous.

Rahul shared how he occasionally questioned his daily schedule but continued reminding himself why the effort mattered.

“Haan sir boring bahut baar khud ko question karte hain ki poora din same to same ja raha hai. Subah utha padha soya utha padha sir to lagta hai ki kya kar raha hoon. Phir ab lagta hai ki nahi jo kar raha tha theek hi kar raha tha shayad.”

He also explained why independent revision could feel more challenging than studying alongside a teacher. Without a lecture to follow, he had to maintain his focus and keep revisiting concepts on his own.

Despite the monotony, Rahul continued with his preparation and recognised the importance of revisiting topics instead of relying only on what he had understood during lectures. His experience highlights how consistency during the final revision phase helps CA Inter aspirants reinforce concepts and prepare to apply them independently in the examination.

Giving Difficult Accounting Chapters the Time They Needed

Advanced Accounting included topics that Rahul could not fully understand during his first attempt at learning them. Chapters such as amalgamation and consolidation required additional time during revision before he felt confident solving their questions.

He explained how he handled a topic that initially seemed difficult:

“mission mein dikkat thi. Jab hum first time padhe to mere ko nahi samajh mein aaya tha ki ye nahi samajh aaya. First revision mein mere ko usko do din alag se dene pade poore-poore tab jaake tha haan ab main mission bana sakta hoon. Ab banega mere se.”

Rahul also made written practice a regular part of studying practical chapters. Instead of relying only on watching solutions or reading them, he worked through questions himself.

“Yes. To woh jab khud practice karte hain to aapne khud writing practice kari matlab question ki khud likh ke solve kar maine jab bhi padha jitne bhi apne jo chapters waale the not AS unmein sab likh ke hi kiya tha ki haan ye main likh ke nahi karoonga to mere se nahi hoga AS mein bhi jo aapke practical ho jaate hain woh saare likh ke kiye”

He followed a slightly different approach during later revisions. For familiar questions, he could review the method more quickly, but he continued solving longer questions to retain his ability to work through them. He specifically mentioned AS 21 and AS 14 as topics for which continued question practice was important.

How PW Revision Marathons and Summary Charts Supported Rahul’s Preparation

Rahul had studied Advanced Accounting with PW since Foundation and regularly used its revision marathons and summary charts to revisit concepts. He watched the same marathon multiple times during revision.

“Sir maine aapko marathon mere ko lagta hai wahi same marathon maine teen-teen baar dekha hoga.”

He also found the Accounting Standards charts useful for reviewing lengthy topics such as AS 19 and noting special cases.

“Bahut useful the sir jo bhi bade-bade the jaise AS 19 ho gaya... practical chart dekh liya... woh chart jo print out rehta tha to woh bahut kaam aata hai jaldi-jaldi ho jaata hai.”

Along with these resources, Rahul practised questions independently and noted exceptions to make them easier to revise. This helped him revisit key concepts and special cases more efficiently.

Building Exam Confidence Through Mock Tests and MCQ Practice

Rahul attempted three practice papers before the exam, including the September and May MTPs and a paid test. He also practised MCQs from the booklet and regularly solved questions from PW revision marathons.

He explained how this practice helped him manage time:

“Phir maine teen poore paper diye the. Ek aapne September ka MTP diya, ek May ka MTP diya aur ek paid test diya tha. Usse confidence badhta hai. Time ka bhi pata chalta hai.”

His MCQ practice helped him complete the Advanced Accounting paper in around two and a half hours. Rahul’s experience highlights how practising full-length papers and MCQs can improve time management and help candidates prepare for the actual exam.

Rahul Agarwal’s CA Inter September 2026 Result and AIR 34

When the CA Intermediate September 2026 result was declared, Rahul was at home with his parents and sister. His father was preparing to leave for work, and the family had expected the result to be released later in the morning. When it appeared earlier than expected, Rahul initially felt nervous about checking it.

He recalled the moment his sister told him that the result was available:

“Unexpectedly 10:00 baje aa gaya. Hum to phone chhod rakhe the. Hum bole result to abhi nahi dekhoonga. Phone hi nahi dekhoonga. To didi aake boli ki result aa gaya hai aa jao. To bahut dar bhi laga. Mann mein chal raha tha ki kuch ulta na ho jaaye.”

The result brought relief after months of preparation, particularly the demanding final revision period.

“Nahi nahi woh dekho aapne daala hai tabhi uska woh ek result hai aur woh jo last ke three months hote hain na woh self study waale revision waale woh bahut critical hote hain. Bahut zyada”

Rahul secured All India Rank 34 in CA Intermediate September 2026, with 88 marks in Advanced Accounting. His result followed a preparation process built around repeated revision, written practice, MCQs and mock tests.

Rahul is from Kolkata, West Bengal. During the interview, he also shared that he had watched PW ranker sessions since Foundation and had imagined getting an opportunity to speak directly with his teachers one day.

“Way good hum like foundation se yahi sab videos dekhte the jab bhi live ki videos aati thi na PW ki rankers ki video hum bhi dekhte the hum log ko bhi lagta tha ki kabhi shayad apna bhi aa jaaye kya pata mera hum log bhi one to one apne teacher se connect kar paayenge to aaj lag raha hai yaar ye kya ho gaya”

His own ranker interaction became a milestone after years of watching similar sessions.

Rahul Agarwal’s CA Intermediate success story highlights the role of consistency, independent practice and repeated revision in exam preparation. Difficult chapters may require more time than expected, while familiar topics still need to be revisited to maintain recall. His preparation combined PW’s Advanced Accounting classes and revision resources with written question practice, MCQs and mock tests.

For CA aspirants, Rahul’s experience offers a practical reminder: attending lectures is only one part of preparation. Giving difficult topics extra time, practising questions independently and reviewing performance through mock tests can help build confidence before the examination. The progress often comes from continuing with these habits, even when the daily routine feels repetitive.
