Preparing for the CA Inter Auditing & Ethics exam requires careful planning and a structured approach. The syllabus is vast, and with the exam scheduled for January 31st, students need to focus on revising efficiently in the remaining days. A well-organised strategy can help cover all important chapters, strengthen conceptual understanding, and improve problem-solving speed.
Here, we provided a clear and practical 11-day revision plan. It is designed to help students revise all chapters in a structured manner, practice past questions, and attempt mock papers under exam conditions.
By following this plan, students can identify their weak areas, reinforce important concepts, and approach the exam with confidence. The strategy balances in-depth study with rapid revision, ensuring that no important topic is left out and that students are fully prepared for the exam day.
Here, weโll offer a structured plan for the 11 days leading up to your exam. The goal is to finish two complete revisions and build the stamina needed for the 3-hour paper. Following this schedule will help you cover the vast syllabus without feeling overwhelmed.
Two Complete Revisions
Revision 1 (In-depth): Study each chapter thoroughly using the ICAI study material. This helps in understanding concepts and practicing illustrations.
Revision 2 (Rapid): Go through your notes or charts quickly. This helps in recalling important points and examples.
Practice Questions
Solve all questions from RTPs, MTPs, and PYQs from the last attempt (May 2024 onwards).
Focus on writing answers for difficult questions. For easier ones, a quick reading is enough.
ICAI Module Content
Master all the Illustrations and Test Your Understanding questions.
Chapters 3, 4, and 5 require special attention as they often have complex questions.
Mock Papers
Attempt at least three full-length papers.
Practice under strict exam conditions to build speed and accuracy.
The following day-by-day plan breaks the 11-day strategy into manageable targets. It ensures that each chapter is revised thoroughly while leaving enough time for practice and mock tests.
Day 1 (Jan 19): Focus on Chapter 3 (Automated Environment). Use charts and the ICAI module. Solve all the back questions.
Day 2 (Jan 20): Dedicate the whole day to Chapter 4. This is a large chapter and needs time.
Day 3 (Jan 21): Study Chapter 5. In the afternoon, attempt your First Mock Paper from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Day 4 (Jan 22): Complete Chapter 9. Use the established method: Charts โ ICAI Module โ Illustrations.
Day 5 (Jan 23): Consolidate Chapters 3, 4, 5, and 9. Solve RTPs and PYQs for these specific chapters to build confidence.
Day 6 (Jan 24): Revise Chapter 11 first, then Chapter 1.
Day 7 (Jan 25): Complete Chapter 2 and Chapter 7. Start the first half of Chapter 10.
Day 8 (Jan 26): Finish Chapter 8, Chapter 6, and the rest of Chapter 10 (Advances section).
By the end of this day, your first detailed revision should be finished.
Day 9 (Jan 27): Practice questions for Chapters 1, 2, 7, 8, and 11. Attempt your Second Mock Paper in the afternoon.
Day 10 (Jan 28): Rapidly revise Module 1 (Chapters 1-5) using only summary notes and charts.
Day 11 (Jan 29): Rapidly revise Module 2 (Chapters 6-11). Read all examples aloud to help with memory.
Day 12 (Jan 30): Attempt your Third Mock Paper. Re-revise any topics where you felt weak during the test.
On the morning of your CA exam, stay calm. Use your final hours to:
Participate in a quick warm-up session.
Re-revise Chapter 5 one last time. This chapter is very scoring and can carry up to 20 marks.
Focus on keywords and professional ethics clauses.
Remember, the questions will come from the material you have already studied. Maintain your discipline and stay focused on the 100-mark target.
