For Garv Goyal, securing AIR 19 in the CA Foundation May 2026 examination came with an impressive score of 343 marks. His preparation had to be managed alongside his Class 12 board examinations, leaving him with a limited window to shift his focus completely towards CA Foundation. 

After registering with ICAI, Garv joined PW’s Sampoorna 1.0 batch in December and continued building his preparation around his existing academic foundation. His eventual scores of 80 in Accountancy, 70 in Law, 97 in Economics, and 96 in Quantitative Aptitude reflect the focused approach he followed during this period.

Garv Goyal’s Journey from Boards to CA Foundation Preparation

Garv Goyal’s CA Foundation journey began alongside his Class 11 and 12 studies. After registering with ICAI, he purchased the Sampoorna 1.0 batch in December and initially balanced his Foundation preparation with his board studies. Once his boards ended, he shifted his focus completely towards the May 2026 Foundation examination.

He followed a demanding study routine and gradually increased his focus on the Foundation syllabus.

“Sir I have purchase Sampoorna 1.0 batch in December after registration in ICAI. Sir uske baad jaise winter break tha jo pre-board ki preparations ke liye hota hai, uske saath hi maine Foundation ka bhi apna 11th ka revise kiya tha sir. Phir uske baad boards jab end hue uske baad sir phir regular Foundation pe focus kiya. Hum, thoda study hours to lamba tha per day but sir phir ho gaya.”

Garv’s preparation eventually involved 12–13 hours of regular study each day. His strong foundation in Class 11 and 12 concepts also helped him manage the transition into CA Foundation, particularly in subjects such as Accountancy.

Garv Goyal’s Strategy for Managing a Short Preparation Window

The period between his board examinations and the CA Foundation examination was relatively short, making time management an important part of Garv’s preparation. While several concepts were already familiar to him, some chapters were new or had shifted from the Intermediate syllabus.

He used PW’s video lectures to cover these comparatively unfamiliar portions and also incorporated mock tests into his preparation.

“Yes sir, thoda challenging to tha sir. But sir jaise 11th ke concepts kaafi strong the, 12th mein bhi Accountancy mein accha score tha, to sir wo cover to ho hi jaata hai kaafi. But there are certain chapters jo ki new hai, ya sir jo Inter se hamaare syllabus mein shift hue the, sir wo phir aapki video se cover kiye the maine.”

Garv also mentioned that his mock-test scores reached around 85 marks, giving him an opportunity to assess his preparation before the examination.

How PW Resources Helped Garv Goyal Strengthen His Preparation

As Garv moved through his Foundation preparation, he used different PW resources according to the requirements of each subject. For Economics, he first completed the syllabus through the Sampoorna 1.0 batch and then used Chanakya One Shots when limited time made detailed chapter-wise reading difficult.

“Haan sir, sir Economics mein to sir first to Sampoorna 1.0 ke video se syllabus complete kiya tha but phir sir time constant tha to chapter reading ka to time kam tha, to phir maine Chanakya One Shots ko do-do baar hi refer kiya.”

He found the One Shots particularly useful for revising Economics. He also mentioned using Chanakya One Shots for Mathematics, showing how he adapted the available resources to manage different subjects within his preparation timeline.

Garv Goyal’s 343 Marks Reflect His Preparation

Garv’s preparation translated into a strong performance in the CA Foundation May 2026 examination. He scored 80 in Accountancy, 70 in Law, 97 in Economics, and 96 in Quantitative Aptitude, taking his aggregate to 343 marks and securing AIR 19.

His performance also reflected the benefit of his existing academic foundation. Garv specifically noted that his Class 11 and 12 Accountancy preparation helped him during Foundation studies.

Looking back at his preparation, Garv emphasised the importance of maintaining consistency rather than approaching preparation without a fixed routine. His advice is particularly relevant for students who have more time before their upcoming Foundation attempts.

“Sir bas aise hi hai jaise aap batches mein karwaate ho regular, aapke saath consistency maintain karein aur ek apna fixed study schedule agar time table ke saath hum close karenge to phir baad mein result bhi achieve hoga hi sir.”
