Angle Between Two Curves

Application of derivatives of Class 12

Angle Between Two Curves

The angle of intersection of two curves is defined as the angle between the two tangents at the point of intersection. Let y = f(x) and y = g(x) be two curves and P(x0y0) be their point of intersection. Also let ψ and ϕ be the angles of inclination of the two tangents with the x axis and let θbe the angle between the two tangents

Then tan θ = Angle Between Two Curves
