Nomenclature Of Organic Compound
With the rapid growth of organic chemistry chemists realized almost 100 years ago that no one could remember unsystematic names for all organic compounds. So chemists from several countries established what is now called the commission on nomenclature of organic chemistry, a committee of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry or IUPAC. This governing body having representatives of all the chemical societies of all nations has worked out some rules of nomenclature for several kinds of compounds called IUPAC rules. The IUPAC system of nomenclature is very systematic.
