Types Of Reflection

Light of Class 7

Regular reflection If manyparallel rays that is beam of light falls directly on a smooth surface, then the reflected beam from this surface is also parallel and directed in a fixed direction making same angle with the normal line . Such reflection of light is called regular reflection.

Diffused reflection

If manyparallel rays that is beam of light falls on a rough surface, then the reflected light is not parallel but spreads here and there over wide area. Such types of reflection of light is called irregular or diffused reflection.
