It also consists of 3 components:
- (i) Central Nervous System (CNS), — with brain and spinal cord.
- (ii) Peripheral Nervous System (PNS) — All the nerves from brain and spinal cord with afferent (sensory) and efferent (motor) pathways.
- (iii) Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) — The visceral motor pathways.
