AILET PG Educational Qualification

To be eligible for AILET PG 2027, you must have completed an LL.B. degree or an equivalent law qualification from a recognised university.

Your degree must be recognised by the appropriate statutory authority. Candidates holding either a three-year LL.B. degree or a five-year integrated LL.B. degree are eligible, provided they satisfy the prescribed minimum marks requirement.

Can Final-Year LL.B. Students Apply?

Yes. If you are in the final year of your LL.B. programme or are awaiting your final results, you can apply for AILET PG 2027.

However, you must produce proof that you have passed the qualifying examination with the required minimum marks by the deadline specified by NLU Delhi. Candidates who fail to meet this requirement or receive a compartment result during the admission year will become ineligible for admission.

AILET PG 2027 Age Limit

There is no upper age limit for appearing in AILET PG 2027. Candidates who meet the educational qualification and minimum marks requirements can apply regardless of their age.

Eligibility for Foreign Nationals

Foreign Nationals can apply for admission to the LL.M. programme under the designated category.

To be eligible, candidates must:

  • Hold citizenship of a country other than India with a valid foreign passport.

  • Have secured at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in an LL.B. degree recognised by the UGC or the Association of Indian Universities.

  • Meet the English language communication requirements and qualify in the interview conducted by NLU Delhi.

Foreign National candidates are exempt from appearing for AILET. Their admission is based on academic performance and the university's admission process.

OCI/PIO Candidate Eligibility

Candidates belonging to the OCI/PIO category may apply under both the OCI/PIO category and the Indian National category by submitting separate application forms.

If you apply as an Indian National, you must appear for AILET PG 2027. Merit for the OCI/PIO category is prepared separately based on the qualifying examination marks.
