
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the CUET UG 2026 application form, bringing an important update for students currently in Class 12 and repeaters preparing for college admissions. While many students are busy with board or pre-board preparation, NTA has opened the registration window for the Common University Entrance Test (Undergraduate).
As per NTA official notice, the CUET UG 2026 application process began on January 3, 2026 and the deadline for applications is January 30, 2026. Aspirants must go through all the crucial details, such as the application process, important dates, documents required, exam pattern, fees, and important points, to ensure a successful application.
CUET UG is a national-level entrance examination conducted by NTA for admission into undergraduate programs offered by central universities, state universities, deemed universities, and private universities across India.
You should apply if:
You are currently in Class 12
You are a 12th pass-out (repeater)
You want admission to your preferred course and college through CUET scores
Important clarity:
CUET is only for the exam and scorecard.
College admission is a separate process through individual university portals (like DU CSAS, BHU portal, etc.), usually opening in June–July.
According to the official public notice released by NTA, the important dates are:
Application Start Date: 3 January 2026
Last Date to Apply: 30 January 2026 (up to 11:50 PM)
Last Date for Fee Payment: 31 January 2026
Correction Window: 2 February to 4 February 2026
Exam Dates (Tentative): 11 May to 31 May 2026

Before filling the form, keep the following documents ready and properly formatted:

Sign on plain paper
Scan and convert to JPG/JPEG

Aadhaar Card or any valid ID

For PwD candidates (UDID certificate)
Size: 50 KB – 300 KB
Tip: If you don’t know how to convert file formats or sizes, you can easily use Google tools by uploading the file and converting it to JPG/JPEG with the required size.
Candidates must follow these simple steps to fill out the CUET UG 2026 Application Form:
Visit the official NTA CUET website, cuet.nta.nic.in.
Click on “CUET UG 2026”.
Open the Public Notice - Inviting Online Application Form.
Register using your email ID and mobile number..
Fill personal, academic, and exam details.
Upload the required documents.
Select subjects and exam cities.
Pay the application fee online.
Submit and download the confirmation page.
Do not rush: It is better to apply after 10–15 days, once you are fully clear about subject combinations and target courses.
Candidates must understand the CUET UG 2026 Exam Pattern to prepare accordingly for the examination:
Mode of Exam: Online (Computer-Based Test only)
Duration: 60 minutes per subject
Questions: 50 questions (all compulsory)
Marking Scheme:
+5 marks for correct answer
Negative marking for wrong answers
No marks deducted for unattempted questions
Total Marks: 250 per subject
Minimum 3 subjects required
Maximum 5 subjects allowed
At least one language subject is mandatory (English/Hindi/other)
The category-wise application fee required for CUET UG 2026 is as follows:
₹1000 for the first 3 subjects
₹400 for each additional subject
₹900 for the first 3 subjects
₹375 per additional subject

Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI, Net Banking
The application form correction window will be live from 2–4 February 2026, allowing candidates to modify their permitted details:
