Membership of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI), or
Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), or
Postgraduate qualification with at least Second Class in:

Accounting
Economics
Related disciplines relevant to the subject applied for
Applicants must also have teaching, professional, or employment experience related to the concerned subject.
Preference is given to candidates with relevant teaching, examination, industry, or professional experience, along with higher academic qualifications and ACS/FCS credentials.
Preference is given to candidates having:
Teaching experience in universities or higher educational institutions.
Experience as a Head Examiner, Moderator, Paper Setter, or Examiner.
Experience in Industry and Corporate sectors relevant to the subject.
Administrative or examination-related experience.
Relevant postgraduate qualifications with teaching or professional experience.
ICSI may give additional weightage to candidates who:
Possess high academic or professional qualifications.
Have distinction in relevant subjects.
Hold ACS/FCS qualifications.
Have at least 3 years of post-membership experience.
For empanelment under the CS Examiner Empanelment process:
Preferred age: Between 28 years and 60 years.
The competent authority may relax the age limit.
Candidates between 30 and 70 years may be considered for Professional Programme examinations.
