The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has introduced a zone-wise division of CS Examination Centres for both the Executive Programme and Professional Programme examinations. Under this system, examination centres are grouped into different geographic zones to help candidates choose a centre closer to their residence and reduce travel-related difficulties.
Each zone is assigned a unique Centre Code that must be selected while filling out the examination enrolment form. While ICSI makes every effort to allot candidates to their preferred zone, it may shift candidates to a nearby zone if seats are unavailable due to capacity constraints.
The Zone-Wise Division of CS Examination Centres framework covers 10+ major cities across India, divided into over 46 sub-zones, each serving hundreds of specific localities and neighbourhoods.
Below provides a quick overview of the ICSI CS Exam Centre Zone-Wise Division 2026. Candidates appearing for the CS Examination Centre Zones selection process can use this table to understand how examination centres are organised across different regions of India.

Candidates can identify their appropriate Zone-Wise CS Exam Centres by following these three simple steps:
Step 1: Identify Your City: The ICSI CS Examination Centres are divided into four regional zones — East, North, South, and West. First, locate the city where you wish to appear for the examination.
Step 2: Match Your Locality: Within each city, examination centres are further divided into multiple zones (Zone I, Zone II, Zone III, etc.). Check the list of localities covered under each zone and select the one nearest to your residence or preferred location.
Step 3: Note the Centre Code: After identifying your zone, note the corresponding Centre Code. This code must be entered while filling out the online examination enrolment form on the ICSI portal.
Important: ICSI generally tries to allot candidates to their chosen zone. However, due to limited seating capacity, candidates may be shifted to a nearby zone if required.
The table provides complete zone-wise distribution of ICSI CS Examination Centres across the East, North, South, and West regions of India. Candidates can check the Centre Codes and localities covered under each zone to select the most convenient examination centre during enrolment.

ICSI follows a best-effort approach while allocating examination centres. When candidates select a preferred Zone-Wise Examination Centre option during the examination enrolment process, the Institute attempts to allocate a centre within that zone.
The zone-wise division has been introduced to make CS examinations more accessible and reduce travel difficulties for candidates across different regions.
However, due to limited seating capacity at certain venues, ICSI may shift candidates from their selected zone to a nearby or adjacent zone. Such reallocations are generally made when the demand for a particular examination centre exceeds the available seats.
Important Tip: Before selecting a zone, check whether your locality is covered under multiple zones. Choosing a zone with fewer localities may improve your chances of receiving your preferred centre allotment.
Candidates are not required to take any additional action if a zone shift occurs. The final examination centre details will be mentioned on the admit card issued by ICSI. Therefore, candidates should carefully verify their allotted centre after downloading the admit card.
