CSIR-CIMAP Lucknow has released a major recruitment notification for 53 project-based vacancies across multiple scientific disciplines. The recruitment includes posts such as Project Scientist, Project Associate I & II, and Senior Project Associate.

CSIR-CIMAP Eligibility Criteria 2026 

Eligibility varies across disciplines:

• Life Science, Biotechnology, Botany, Biochemistry: M.Sc. required

• Chemistry: M.Sc. in relevant specializations

• Agriculture: M.Sc. eligible

• Engineering: B.Tech / M.Tech (CS, Electronics, Mechanical, Chemical, Instrumentation)

• Computational Biology / Bioinformatics: M.Sc. eligible

• M.Pharm candidates eligible for select SPA/PA roles

• Freshers allowed for select PA-I positions

Wider eligibility also includes Data Science, Environmental Science, and allied fields.

• Essential Qualification: Doctoral Degree in Science OR Master's/Integrated Master's in Engineering or Technology. This position is primarily for Ph.D. qualified students.

• Stipend: ₹56,000 + HRA per month.

• Age Limit: Maximum 35 years for most positions.

CSIR-CIMAP Project Associate I (PA-I) Vacancy 2026

• Qualification: M.Sc. in Life Science, Botany, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, etc.

• Stipend: ₹30,000 + HRA
  Entry-level research role suitable for fresh postgraduates.

CSIR-CIMAP Project Associate II (PA-II) Vacancy 2026

• Qualification: M.Sc. + 2 years research experience OR NET/GATE qualified

• Stipend: ₹35,000 + HRA

• Qualification: Ph.D. with 2 years experience OR M.Sc. with 3 years research experience

• Stipend: Higher than PA-I/PA-II
  Advanced research role requiring experience/publication.

Stipend varies by post and qualification, ranging from ₹25,000 for PA-I (non-NET) to ₹56,000 + HRA for Project Scientists.

• PA-I: ₹25,000–₹31,000 + HRA

• PA-II: ₹35,000 + HRA

• Project Scientist: ₹56,000 + HRA
