To secure the seat, a commitment fee of Rs. 2500 (Rs. 500 for SC and ST students) must be paid online before 6:00 PM on the next day. If the payment is not made on time, the seat will be lost.

Banaras Hindu University follows the rules set by the government to give equal chances to everyone. Seats are reserved for different categories of students as follows:

• Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL): 27% of seats

• Scheduled Caste (SC): 15% of seats

• Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5% of seats

• Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 10% of seats

• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 5% of seats
