As the exam day approaches, it becomes crucial for students to be well-prepared not just academically but also with all the necessary items required at the exam centre. Carrying the right documents and materials will help avoid any last-minute problems and ensure a smooth entry into the examination hall.
Things To Carry In CUET Exam Centre 2025
The CUET 2025 is an important exam for students aspiring to pursue undergraduate programs in various universities in India. To ensure that you are fully prepared for the exam day, it is essential to know what to carry to the exam centre.
1. CUET 2025 Admit Card with Self-Declaration Form
The CUET Admit Card is the most important document you need to carry to the exam centre. Without it, you will not be allowed to sit for the exam. The admit card contains essential details, including your roll number, exam date, venue, and timings. Make sure to download and print the admit card from the official NTA CUET portal. Along with the admit card, you must also carry the Self-Declaration Form as prescribed by the NTA (National Testing Agency). This form needs to be signed and carried to the exam centre.
What to check: Ensure that your admit card has accurate information, and ensure your signature and photograph are clearly visible.
2. Valid Photo Identification
You must carry a valid government-issued photo ID along with your CUET 2025 admit card. This is a mandatory requirement for verifying your identity at the exam centre. The ID can be any of the following:
PAN Card
Aadhaar Card (with a photograph)
Voter ID
Passport
Driver's License
School/College ID Card
Class 12th Admit Card (with photo)
If you are a PwD (Persons with Disability) candidate, ensure that you also carry a valid PwD certificate issued by an authorized medical officer.
3. Passport-Sized Photographs
You will need to carry two passport-sized photographs, identical to the one uploaded in the application form. These photographs are used for the attendance sheet in the exam hall, and they should be affixed to the attendance register as directed by the exam authorities. It’s always a good idea to carry additional photographs as a backup.
4. Transparent Ballpoint Pen
A transparent ballpoint pen is one of the essential items to carry. This is because pens with colored ink or opaque pens are not allowed. Ensure that your pen is functional and suitable for writing the exam.
Tip: Always check that your pen works well before heading to the cuet exam centre.
5. A Water Bottle
Staying hydrated is crucial, especially during lengthy exams. Carry a transparent water bottle to the exam centre. This is a simple yet important item that helps you stay fresh and focused. Ensure that the bottle is without any labels or logos to comply with the exam day guidelines.
6. Sugar Tablets (if required)
If you are diabetic or have a medical condition that requires you to have sugar during the exam, you are allowed to carry sugar tablets. These tablets will help you maintain your energy levels in case of any unexpected dips in your blood sugar. Be sure to carry only the required quantity, and they must be in a transparent packet.
7. Face Mask & Hand Sanitizer
Given the health protocols in place due to the ongoing pandemic and the general awareness about hygiene, it is advisable to carry a face mask and hand sanitizer. You may be required to wear a mask throughout the exam, and hand sanitizer is helpful to ensure that your hands remain germ-free. Carry a small bottle of sanitizer (not exceeding 50 ml) and a mask that covers both your nose and mouth properly.
8. Documents for PwD Candidates
If you belong to the PwD (Persons with Disabilities) category, it is mandatory to carry a PwD certificate issued by an authorized medical officer. This certificate is essential for availing any extra time or other accommodations during the exam. Ensure that the certificate is up-to-date and valid.
9. CUET 2025 Exam Specific Items (if applicable)
There may be specific items required for certain subjects, such as a geometry box for the mathematics paper or any other subject-specific materials. However, these items are generally prohibited unless explicitly mentioned on your admit card or the official CUET guidelines. Always check the official CUET portal or your admit card for any such requirements.
Note: Do not carry any textbooks, notes, or printed material into the exam hall. These are strictly prohibited and can lead to disqualification if found.
10. A Transparent Small Bag (Optional)
While most items should be carried in a transparent pouch or small bag, be sure that it adheres to the dress code and item guidelines. This is helpful to carry your personal items and keep them organized while maintaining the required transparency.
Things You Should NOT Carry to the CUET Exam Centre
While it is important to know what to bring, it's equally critical to avoid carrying the following items:
Electronic Devices : All electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, smartwatches, tablets, Bluetooth devices, and headphones are strictly prohibited.
Wallets, Purses, Belts, and Jewellery : Carrying wallets, purses, and any form of jewellery, including earrings, chains, bangles, and hair bands, is not allowed as part of the CUET 2025 dress code.
Food Items : Do not carry any food items or beverages, except for the allowed water bottle and sugar tablets.
Pre-Printed Text Materials : Notes, books, or any printed materials (including answer keys) are prohibited during the exam.
Shoes : Shoes are generally not allowed. The CUET dress code specifies that slippers or sandals with low heels are acceptable.
CUET 2025 Dress Code: What to Wear
In addition to bringing the right documents, it’s crucial to follow the CUET 2025 dress code for a smooth entry into the exam hall. Here’s what you need to know:
Light-Colored Clothes with Short Sleeves : Avoid wearing long sleeves or heavy clothing. Opt for light, comfortable clothes with short sleeves.
No Shoes or Footwear with Heels : Shoes, including sandals with heels, are not allowed. Slippers or sandals with low heels are permitted.
Avoid Cultural or Customary Dresses : While you can wear cultural attire, it’s advised to report early (at least 1 hour before the last reporting time) to avoid delays during security checks.
