Types of Commission Offered Through the AFCAT 1 Vacancy 2026
Short Service Commission is for men and women offered through the AFCAT Vacancy 2026.- For Flying Branch (Men and Women) SSC Officers, the engagement period is fourteen years from the date of commissioning.
- The initial duration for Ground Duty (Technical and non-technical) SSC Officers shall be ten years. An extension of four years may be allowed, subject to service requirements, availability of AFCAT vacancy, merit, and job suitability.
- Grant of Permanent Commission (PC) will be considered subject to service requirements, vacancies, merit, suitability and prevailing policies on the subject.
- Candidates must note that the SSC officers are not entitled to pension grants.
