The Border Roads Organisation has invited online applications from eligible aspirants to fill vacancies for various posts, like radio mechanic, operator communication, driver mechanical transport (OG), vehicle mechanic, MSW driller, MSW mason, MSW painter, and MSW mess waiter.

BRO Age Limit Relaxation 2026

There shall be a relaxation on the upper BRO age limit for aspirants from the different categories. As per BRO Eligibility criteria 2026, age relaxation is permissible in the upper age limit for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, and other categories subject to submission of the requisite certificate.   (ii) Two-year Certificate in Architecture or Draughtsmanship from a recognised Institute or equivalent.

  Possessing two years National Trade Certificate for Draughtsman (Civil) from a recognised Institute and one year practical experience in the trade.
Supervisor (Administration) (i) Degree from a recognised University or equivalent.
  (ii) Possessing National Cadet Corps 'B' Certificate or Ex-Naib Subedar (General Duty) from the Army or equivalent from Navy or Air Force.
Turner (i) Must possess a Turner Certificate from ITC/ITINCTVT/Defence Trade Certificate with one year of experience.
  OR
  Passed Class I Course for Turner as laid down in Defence Service Regulations (Qualification Regulations for Soldiers) from the office of Records or similar Defence establishments.
Machinist (i) Matriculation from a recognised Board or equivalent.
  (ii) Machinist Certificate from Industrial Training Institute or equivalent.
  OR
  Defence Trade Certificate from an Army Institute or similar Defence establishment with one year of experience as a Machinist.
  OR
  Passed Class II Course for Turner/Machinist as laid down in Defence Service Regulations (Qualification Regulations for Soldiers).
Driver Mechanical Transport (OG) (i) Matriculation from a recognised Board or equivalent.
  (ii) Possessing a heavy Motor Vehicle driving license.
  OR
  Passed Class III Course for Driver Plant Mechanical Transport as laid down in Defence Service Regulations (Qualification Regulations for Soldiers).
Driver Road Roller (OG) (i) Matriculation from a recognised Board or equivalent.
  (ii) Possessing a heavy Motor Vehicle or Road Roller driving license with six months of experience in Road Roller driving.
  OR
  Passed Class II Course for Driver Plant and Mechanical Transport as laid down in Defence Service Regulations (Qualification Regulations for Soldiers).
Operator Excavating Machinery (OG) (i) Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent.
  (ii) Possessing a heavy Motor Vehicle driving license.
  Driving license for Dozer/Excavator with six months of experience in driving Dozer/Excavator.
  OR
  Passed Class II Course for Operator Excavating Machinery as laid down in Defence Service Regulations (Qualification Regulations for Soldiers).

  • Without a proper certificate (In Central Govt format) in respect of SC/ST/OBC/EWS, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, Ex-Servicemen & Relationship Certificate forwards of serving/Ex-GREF Personnel/Army Personnel.
  • Underaged/Overaged candidates.
  • Not possessing the required educational qualification during the submission of applications.
  • Educational qualification not recognised.
  • Application received after the due date.
  • Application without prescribed fee for UR, EWS and OBC categories.
  • Any other irregularity, like mutilated or damaged applications/documents, etc.
  • Attested/Self-attested copies of testimonial not enclosed, etc.
  • Multiple applications for the same post.
  • Serving Certificate for CPL candidate, duly signed and dated before release of this Advertisement.
