CISF History

Established in 1969, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is a significant police force in India entrusted with securing crucial government and industrial establishments. Initially comprising 3,129 personnel under the CISF Act, its sanctioned strength was increased from 145,000 to 180,000 personnel by the government in 2017. UPSC CAPF AC The UPSC CAPF AC (Union Public Service Commission Central Armed Police Forces Assistant Commandant) is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to hire Assistant Commandants for India’s Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). This includes the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). Assistant commandants in these paramilitary forces are responsible for organising and overseeing operations.
SSC GD The SSC GD (Staff Selection Commission General Duty) Exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission of India. It aims to select candidates for various positions in the General Duty (GD) category, such as Constable (GD) in various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), NIA, SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles.
Constable/Tradesman This exam is conducted for the recruitment of constables in various trades such as barber, bootmaker, cook, carpenter, electrician, mason, painter, etc.
Head Constable (Ministerial) This exam is conducted for the recruitment of head constables in the ministerial cadre. The selection process includes a written examination, physical measurement, typing test, and a medical examination.
Assistant Sub Inspector (Executive) This exam is conducted for the recruitment of Assistant Sub-Inspectors in the executive cadre. The selection process includes a written examination, physical measurement, physical efficiency test, and a medical examination.
