Halwara AFS

The airfield at Halwara was constructed in 1942 by the Royal Air Force during World War II. It served as an Allied Air Force staging base before being abandoned after the war. The Indian Air Force reactivated Halwara AFS on March 16, 1950, making it one of the oldest frontline airbases.
