Indian Army 95th SSC RVC Salary & Job Profile 2026

Upon successful commissioning, candidates will join the Indian Army as a Captain in the Remount Veterinary Corps. They will undergo post-commission training at RVC Centre & College, Meerut Cantt. The role offers an attractive salary package along with various allowances and benefits.

The pay matrix for a Captain is Level 10(B), with a basic pay of Rs. 61,300/-. Additionally, officers receive Military Service Pay (MSP) of Rs. 15,500/- and a Non-Practice Allowance (NPA) of 20% of basic pay. Dearness Allowance (DA) is also admissible as per prevailing rates. Other benefits include concessional accommodation, free ration, medical facilities, LTC, 60 days annual leave, 20 days casual leave, canteen facilities, and group insurance cover. The initial tenure of engagement is five years, extendable based on performance. Promotion up to the rank of Lt Col is time-bound during SSC, with further promotions up to Colonel (TS) if granted Permanent Commission. Ante-date seniority is provided for postgraduate and doctorate degree holders in veterinary science.
