Navy Base in India: The Indian Navy holds a long-standing legacy of protecting the maritime interests of the nation from enemies. The Indian Navy came into existence on September 5, 1612. Earlier, its name was Royal Indian Navy, and it was changed to Indian Navy after Independence in 1947.
