The CEED Exam Pattern 2027 helps candidates understand the structure of the Common Entrance Examination for Design, including its sections, question types, duration, marks, and marking scheme. IIT Bombay conducts CEED for candidates seeking admission to postgraduate design programmes.

The official CEED 2027 Exam Pattern has not yet been released. IIT Bombay has announced that CEED 2027 will be conducted on January 17, 2027, while detailed information is scheduled to be released by October 1, 2026. Until then, candidates can refer to the latest official CEED pattern as a guide.

According to the latest pattern, the CEED paper is divided into Part A and Part B. Part A contains objective questions, while Part B evaluates design, drawing, creativity, and related skills.

CEED Part A Pattern 2027

CEED Part A is an objective section conducted through a computer-based test. In the latest pattern, it has three sections: NAT, MSQ and MCQ. Part A carries 150 marks and has a maximum duration of one hour.

The Numerical Answer Type (NAT) section contains 8 questions. Candidates have to enter a numerical answer using the virtual keyboard displayed on the computer screen.

MSQ

The Multiple Select Question (MSQ) section contains 10 questions. Each question has four options, and one or more options may be correct.

The questions appear on the computer screen, but candidates have to write or draw their answers in the answer booklet provided by the invigilator.

CEED 2027 Question Paper Pattern

The CEED Question Paper Pattern 2027 is expected to test candidates across multiple skills rather than relying only on academic knowledge. Based on the latest official pattern, candidates should prepare for:
