JEE Main 2026 Topper (BArch) Arnav Garg Success Story: 99.79 Percentile with PW

Arnav Garg is a JEE Main 2026 Paper 2A (B.Arch) topper who scored an impressive 99.79 percentile in his first attempt. He secured a CRL rank of 162 and did not appear for the second JEE Main attempt. Arnav started focused preparation in Class 12 and worked on both Mathematics and Drawing.

He joined PW’s Architecture Creator Batch and followed his teachers’ guidance and study material. His success shows how regular practice, consistency and the right guidance can help B.Arch aspirants perform well in JEE Main.

Arnav Started B.Arch Preparation in Class 12

Arnav did not begin intensive preparation for JEE Main Paper 2A in Class 11. At that stage, he had decided that he wanted to pursue B.Arch after receiving guidance from his elder brother.

His brother had studied architecture and recommended SPA Delhi as a target college. This gave Arnav a clear goal, but he started serious preparation only around May-June of Class 12.

When he began preparing, he quickly realised that Drawing was one of his weaker areas.

“My drawing was very bad.”

His experience highlights an important point for B.Arch aspirants: students do not have to be naturally strong at drawing when they begin preparation. Regular practice can gradually improve speed, confidence and familiarity with different drawing concepts.

How PW’s Architecture Creator Batch Helped Arnav

Arnav joined PW’s Architecture Creator Batch for his JEE Main Paper 2A preparation. The batch provided him with classes and guidance for the subjects required for the examination.

He particularly appreciated the guidance of his teachers and followed their approach throughout his preparation.

“Jo jo wo padhate gaye waise waise karte gaye.”

In other words, instead of continuously changing his preparation strategy, Arnav focused on following what his teachers taught in class.

He also used the books and study material provided through the batch, including the Easy Notes, to support his preparation.

This helped him avoid unnecessary confusion about which resources to use. Rather than collecting multiple books and online materials, he focused on the resources available through his course.

Regular Drawing Practice Helped Arnav Improve

Drawing was initially a weak area for Arnav, but he worked on it through consistent practice.

When asked what advice he would give to students who struggle with drawing, his answer was straightforward: regular practice.

Arnav explained that practising consistently makes students more comfortable with drawing questions. He followed the exercises and techniques taught by his teachers and kept practising them regularly.

His preparation did not involve constantly experimenting with different approaches. Instead, he followed his teachers' instructions and continued practising.

Drawing remained an area Arnav had to work on consistently. Instead of avoiding it, he kept practising the exercises and techniques introduced by his teachers. Over time, regular practice helped him become more comfortable with the subject.

Mathematics Was Another Strong Area for Arnav

While Drawing required additional practice, Mathematics was already one of Arnav’s stronger subjects.

His confidence in Mathematics helped him during his preparation because he already had a good foundation in the subject. He continued studying Mathematics through the Architecture Creator Batch and followed the guidance of his teachers.

A strong Mathematics foundation can be useful for B.Arch aspirants because it allows them to approach the quantitative part of the examination with greater confidence.

For students who are weaker in Mathematics, Arnav’s journey also shows the importance of strengthening fundamentals instead of focusing only on advanced questions.

Why Arnav Did Not Appear for the Second JEE Main Attempt

Arnav’s first attempt gave him a 99.79 percentile, which significantly boosted his confidence.

After seeing his January result, he decided that appearing for another attempt was not necessary for him.

He explained that after scoring 99.79 percentile, he felt satisfied with his performance and believed that improving the score further would be difficult.

As a result, he did not appear for the April attempt.

His decision was based on the confidence he gained from his first result and his target of getting into a top architecture college.

Arnav’s dream college was SPA Delhi, the same college his elder brother had recommended to him when he was deciding on his career path.

How Arnav Managed School, Tuition and JEE Preparation

Arnav was not preparing for JEE Main alone. Along with school, he also had private tuition. Managing all three together became difficult at times.

To make his preparation more manageable, he chose recorded lectures instead of live classes. He generally studied at night after completing his other commitments.

This gave him greater flexibility because he could watch lectures according to his available time instead of having to attend classes at a fixed schedule.

For students balancing school and coaching, recorded lectures can make it easier to adjust preparation around their daily routine. Arnav used this flexibility to continue his preparation without disrupting his school and tuition schedule.

How Arnav Managed Stress and Burnout

Like many students, Arnav also experienced periods when managing everything became difficult. However, he did not try to push through every difficult day. When he felt that his preparation was becoming overwhelming, he took breaks and then returned to his routine.

His approach was particularly useful because he was balancing multiple responsibilities. Instead of expecting himself to study continuously, he adjusted his schedule and continued preparing at a pace he could manage. He also credited his family for providing strong support during his preparation.

When asked about exam-day stress, Arnav said that he did not experience significant pressure in the examination hall. His family had encouraged him to stay relaxed and accept whatever result came from his efforts.

That support helped him approach the examination with a calmer mindset.

Arnav’s JEE Main 2026 Preparation Strategy

Arnav’s preparation strategy can be summarised through a few simple points:

  • Start with your weaker area: Arnav identified Drawing as a weak subject and worked on it through regular practice.

  • Follow reliable guidance: He followed his PW teachers instead of constantly changing his preparation strategy.

  • Practise regularly: Drawing improved because Arnav consistently practised the exercises taught in class.

  • Use study material effectively: He used the books and notes provided through the Architecture Creator Batch.

  • Use recorded lectures when needed: Recorded classes helped him manage school, tuition and JEE preparation.

  • Stay supported: His family’s support helped him remain calm during preparation and on exam day.

  • Avoid unnecessary pressure: Arnav focused on his preparation rather than worrying excessively about the outcome.

Arnav’s JEE Main B.Arch Success Shows the Value of Consistency

Arnav Garg’s journey to 99.79 percentile in JEE Main 2026 Paper 2A shows how a focused and consistent approach can help students prepare effectively for B.Arch entrance examinations.

Starting serious preparation in Class 12, Arnav worked on his weaker Drawing skills through regular practice while continuing to strengthen Mathematics. His association with PW’s Architecture Creator Batch gave him classes, study material and teacher guidance.

His CRL rank of 162 in his first attempt reflects the outcome of this preparation. He also managed school and private tuition by using recorded lectures and studying according to his available time.

For future B.Arch aspirants, Arnav’s experience offers a simple lesson: identify your weak areas, practise them regularly, follow the right guidance and stay consistent. You do not always need an extremely complicated study plan. A strategy that you can follow every day can make a significant difference in your preparation.
