NIFT 2026 Counselling Schedule Out: The National Institute of Fashion Technology has officially announced the timetable for the online seat allocation process for the academic year 2026. NIFT 2026 Counselling Schedule has been provided for the candidates on the official website.  The registration portal for the first round opened on June 15, 2026. Candidates who passed the entrance exam must participate in this online process to secure their seats.

NIFT 2026 Counselling Schedule includes the round-wise registration dates for the candidates to complete the form-filling process and participate in the counselling sessions. 

Round 1 Details

• Registration and Document Uploading: June 15, 2026, to June 22, 2026 (Until 12:00 Midnight)

• Document Verification by Authorities: June 15, 2026, to June 24, 2026 (Until 6:00 PM)

• Choice Filling and Locking of Campuses: June 15, 2026, to June 25, 2026 (Until 12:00 Midnight)

• Seat Allotment Result Announcement: June 27, 2026

• Willingness Submission and Fee Payment: June 27, 2026, to July 1, 2026 (Until 12:00 Midnight)

Round 2 Details

• Correction in Application Form: July 3, 2026 (From morning until 5:00 PM)

• Verification of Corrected Documents: July 3, 2026 (Until 8:00 PM)

• Choice Filling and Modifications: July 3, 2026, to July 5, 2026 (Until 12:00 Midnight)

• Seat Allotment Result Announcement: July 7, 2026

• Fee Payment and Option Selection: July 7, 2026, to July 9, 2026 (Until 12:00 Midnight)

• Seat Withdrawal Period: July 7, 2026, to July 9, 2026 (Until 12:00 Midnight)

Round 3 Details

• Form Correction Window: July 11, 2026 (Until 5:00 PM)

• Document Verification for Corrected Forms: July 11, 2026 (Until 8:00 PM)

• Choice Filling and Locking Changes: July 11, 2026, to July 13, 2026 (Until 12:00 Midnight)

• Seat Allotment Result Announcement: July 15, 2026

• Willingness Submission and Admission Fee Payment: July 15, 2026, to July 17, 2026 (Until 12:00 Midnight)

• Seat Withdrawal Option: July 15, 2026, to July 17, 2026 (Until 12:00 Midnight)

NIFT Spot Round Process

• Registration and Spot Fee Payment: July 19, 2026, to July 22, 2026 (Until 12:00 Midnight). Candidates must pay a non-refundable participation fee of 5,000 Rupees.

• Document Verification: July 19, 2026, to July 22, 2026 (Until 6:00 PM). This is specifically for newly registered candidates.

• Choice Filling and Locking: July 19, 2026, to July 23, 2026 (Until 12:00 Midnight).

• Final Spot Allotment Result: July 24, 2026.

• Final Admission Fee Payment: July 24, 2026, to July 27, 2026 (Until 12:00 Midnight).

• Physical Reporting at Campus: July 29, 2026. 

NIFT 2026 Seat Allocation Process

The NIFT admission process uses a central online system. Seats are given based on rank, category, home state, choices, and empty seats. The steps are:

Step 1: Visit the NIFT website.

Step 2: Go to the counselling registration page on the portal.

Step 3: Fill in the roll number, application number, name, father's name, and date of birth to register and make a password.

Step 4: Complete the application form by typing phone details, school marks, and home state information.

Step 5: Upload all the needed certificates in the correct file size and format.

Step 6: College staff will verify the documents and information.

Step 5: Select preferred colleges and courses and submit the choices.

Step 6: The system gives out college seats based on exam ranks, rules, and the choices filled.

Step 7: Choose one option from Float, Slide, or Freeze to show if the seat is accepted or needs a change.

Step 8: Pay the full admission fee online. 

Step 9: Go to the given college campus on July 29, 2026, with the original paper documents.

Candidates must keep scanned copies of their original certificates to upload in the application form.

NIFT Admission Fees 2026

NIFT Admission Fees 2026 depend on the participating institution for the admission process. 

• Regular Seat (All Campuses): ₹1,91,700 per semester

• NRI Sponsored Seat (Major Campuses): ₹10,19,900 per year

• NRI Sponsored Seat (Other Campuses):₹7,22,100 per year

NIFT Refund Policy 2026

Candidates who decide not to continue their admission in NIFT can request withdrawal.

• Up to July 17, 2026: Full fee refund except the ₹9,300 registration fee

• After July 17, 2026: As per the NIFT refund policy
