A total of 21,307 candidates registered for the NIFTEE 2026 Stage 1 Examination, which was conducted across 129 examination centres in 97 cities nationwide.
Since candidates appeared for both the General Ability Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT), the examination recorded 40,247 test appearances in total.
Out of these, 35,596 test appearances were recorded, resulting in an impressive overall attendance rate of 88.44%.
For the UG Stage 2 Skill Test, conducted on 26 April 2026, approximately 12,065 candidates were shortlisted based on their Stage 1 performance.
Among the shortlisted candidates, around 10,432 appeared for the Skill Test, leading to an attendance rate of 86.46%.
