NIFT 2026 Registration: The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) 2026 Entrance Examination, officially known as NIFT, is the key admission test for undergraduate and postgraduate fashion, design, and management programs across NIFT campuses in India. Online registration for NIFT 2026 opened on 8 December 2025, with the regular application deadline initially set for 6 January 2026 and extended up to 13 January 2026 to encourage wider participation.

NIFT 2026 Exam Highlights

The NIFT Entrance Examination (NIFTEE) is a national-level exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). It is held to assess candidates for admission into UG and PG programs in Fashion, Design, Technology, and Management programs offered across NIFT colleges in India.

NIFT 2026 Important Dates

Candidates should note key NIFT 2026 Important Dates. The online registration started on December 08, 2025. The last date for online registration without a late fee is January 13, 2026. Registration with a late fee of ₹5000 will open from January 14 to January 16, 2026. The application form correction window will be live from January 18 to January 19, 2026. 

The entrance examination for UG/PG programs is scheduled for February 08, 2026. Admit card release date will be notified later:

NIFT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the essential eligibility criteria set by the conducting authority to appear for the examination. Those failing to satisfy the requirements will not be considered for the test:

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed or be appearing in 10+2 examination from a recognized board. For PG, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.

• Age Limit: Candidates must be less than 24 years old as on 1 August 2026. No age limit for any postgraduate programme.

NIFT 2026 Registration Process

The NIFT 2026 registration process is conducted online by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to UG and PG programmes offered by NIFT. Eligible candidates must complete the NIFT 2026 application form on the official NIFTEE portal within the prescribed dates, upload required documents, and pay the application fee to successfully register.

Here is a step-by-step registration process for NIFT 2026:

Visit the Official Website

• Go to the NIFTEE official portal hosted by NTA, exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT/.

New Candidate Registration

• Click on “New Registration”.

• Enter basic details such as name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number

• Generate login credentials.

Login to Application Portal

• Use the generated application number and password to log in.

Fill NIFT 2026 Application Form

• Enter personal details

• Provide academic qualifications

• Select programme (B.Des / B.F.Tech / M.Des / MFM / M.F.Tech)

• Choose preferred exam city.

Upload Required Documents

• Recent passport-size photograph

• Scanned signature

• Category / PwD certificate (if applicable)

• Documents must be uploaded in the prescribed format and size.

Pay Application Fee

• Pay the fee online via Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI

• Late fee applies if submitted after the regular deadline.

NIFT 2026 Registration Fee

Candidates must pay a certain amount of fee via using Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI to complete the registration process. The category-wise registration/application fee is as follows:

NIFT 2026 Admit Card

The NIFT 2026 Admit Card will be released by NTA few days prior to the examination. Candidates must download their NIFT 2026 Admit Card from the NTA website. It will not be sent by post. The admit card is provisional and subject to eligibility conditions.

On exam day, carry a printout of the admit card, two passport-size photographs, and an original valid photo ID. Prohibited items include mobile phones, calculators, and any other electronic gadgets. Reach the exam centre at least 60 minutes before the exam starts. No entry is allowed 30 minutes before the exam begins.
