The NIFT 2026 admission process will be conducted entirely through e-Counselling, comprising three regular rounds followed by a Spot Round. Float
Candidates opting for Float accept their allotted seat but remain eligible for higher-preference choices across all campuses in subsequent rounds.
Slide
This option is available mainly for B.Des candidates and allows consideration for higher-preference programmes within the same campus.
Freeze
Candidates selecting Freeze accept the allotted seat permanently and will not be considered for further upgradation.
