Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling Eligibility 2026

Entrance Exam

Candidates must qualify NEET UG 2026.

Age Limit

Candidates must turn at least 17 years old on or before December 31, 2026. They must be born on or before December 31, 2009.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must pass Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, and English.

Minimum PCB Marks

The minimum PCB aggregate requirements mentioned in the PDF are:

  • General Category: At least 50%

  • Reserved Categories (BC, BCM, MBC, SC, SCA, ST): At least 40%

  • Persons with Disability (PwD, General-PwD): At least 45%

Management Quota

The Management Quota in private self-financing colleges and Deemed universities is open to Tamil Nadu native and non-native/out-of-state students, including students from Kerala.

Candidates seeking admission through this quota require separate registration through the state medical selection portal. The PDF also specifies a processing fee and security deposit, including an example of a ₹1,00,000 security deposit.

7.5% Preferential Government School Quota

The 7.5% Preferential Government School Quota is reserved for students who studied Class 6 to Class 12 in Tamil Nadu government schools. This includes corporation, panchayat union, and Adi Dravidar welfare schools.
