CA Eligibility Criteria 2025

CA Eligibility Criteria 2025: To become a Chartered Accountant, you must complete the ICAI's professional course. This course is not open to everyone; having a strong background in Mathematics is essential. Additionally, you must meet specific academic requirements. For the most current CA eligibility criteria and academic requirements, students should refer to the latest guidelines released by the ICAI.

Students can visit the ICAI Self Service Portal (SSP) to check if they meet the eligibility criteria and easily fill out the CA application form for the CA exams 2025. Check the key points regarding the CA eligibility criteria for CA Foundation, CA Intermediate, and CA Final exams.

CA Eligibility Criteria 2025

The following are important steps of CA Eligibility Criteria to take before applying for the CA Exam :
  • Ensure you have valid login credentials on the SSP platform. You can create one at https://eservices.icai.org/ if you don't already have it.
  • Make sure your course registration is still valid. If it has expired, you need to revalidate or convert it through SSP.

Revalidation: CA Final registration is valid for 5 years, CA Intermediate for 4 years, and CA Foundation for 3 years. You must revalidate your registration through the Self Service Portal once it expires. Revalidation fees are as follows:

    • INR 500 for CA Final
    • INR 400 for CA Intermediate
    • INR 300 for CA Foundation

Conversion: Candidates under the old CA scheme must convert to the new scheme via the Self Service Portal. The conversion fees are INR 1,000 for CA Final Old Course to CA Final New Course, CA Intermediate (IPCE) to CA Intermediate, and INR 500 for CA CPT to CA Foundation.

Before filling out the exam form, candidates can update their photograph and signature on the Self Service Portal to ensure they meet the required dimensions. Those with pending articleship status (CA Final/Intermediate Direct Entry) need to update their status on SSP. For CA Intermediate students, if your Registration Mode (like CPT/Foundation/Graduate/ICSI) is not showing on the dashboard, raise a ticket on SSP to resolve this issue before the applications begin.
