When will JEE Main 2026 Registration Begin for Session 1

According to the recent notification from NTA, the application form of the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 will be available in October 2025. The examination for the first session is anticipated to be conducted in January 2026, and Session 2 in April 2026. Applicants are requested to regularly visit the official website for tentative dates and other details regarding eligibility, syllabus, and exam rules.

Update Documents Before JEE Main 2026 Registration

It is advisable to check and update all your important documents before you begin filling out the form. Tiny mistakes in your Aadhaar or certificates may result in the delay of your application or rejection.

Aadhaar Card:

Check your name, date of birth according to your Class 10 certificate, address, and father's name. If your photograph is old, attach a recent one.

UDID Card (for PwD candidates):

Make sure it's valid and updated if expired. Also, specify your disability type and percentage clearly. Have a scanned copy ready for upload.

Category Certificate (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL):

Your certificate should be valid and from a competent authority. OBC-NCL candidates should have certificates that are dated on or after April 1, 2025. EWS candidates should have a certificate for the present financial year.

How To Fill JEE Main 2026 Application Form

When the registration process opens, students will be able to start applying by following below steps. To ensure a smooth application process, carefully go through each step and provide the required information accurately. Following these steps will help you successfully complete and submit your application on time:

• Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in

• Click on "New Registration" and fill in your personal and academic information

• Upload the documents to be scanned in the prescribed format

• Pay your application fee online using debit/credit card, UPI, or net banking

• Download and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference

JEE Main Eligibility Criteria 2026 

Candidates who wish to appear in JEE Main 2026 exam must meet the below eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2026.

Age Limit: General and General-EWS candidates must be born on or after October 1, 2000. SC/ST/PwD candidates must be born on or after October 1, 1995 (5 years of age relaxation).

Educational Qualification:

• Candidates must have passed or must be appearing for Class 12 (or an equivalent exam) in 2026 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.

• Candidates who passed Class 12th in 2024 or earlier are not eligible.

Number of Attempts: A candidate can attempt JEE Main a maximum of 3 times in consecutive years. Diploma Holders: Candidates with a Diploma in Engineering (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply for JEE Main 2026. State of Eligibility: The state where the candidate completed their Class 12 exam determines the state of eligibility.
