NTA Update on Change in JEE Main Exam Centres for 2025: For the Joint Entrance Examination scheduled for the upcoming year, NTA has announced an update on the change in JEE Main exam centers for 2025 on its official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. As per the new announcement, the JEE Mains 2025 examination will be conducted in 284 centers across the nation, along with 15 centers abroad.

NTA Update on Change in JEE Main Exam Centres for 2025

NTA has made some changes to the JEE Mains 2025 exam centers. While the exam was conducted in 300 cities across India in 2024, it will now be held in 284 cities in 2025. Additionally, the number of international centers has also been reduced.

• In 2024, the exam was held in 24 cities across 23 countries, but in 2025, JEE Mains will be conducted in just 15 cities across 13 countries.
• In India, Bihar will now have 11 exam centers, with Bihar Sharif being added as a new center.
• Other cities include Patna, Aurangabad, Bhagalpur, Darbhanga, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Purnia, Ara, Samastipur, and Rohtas.
• For the first time, Bihar Sharif will host the JEE Mains exam, making it easier for local students to appear for the exam.
• Internationally, several centers have been removed, including those in Canada, Sri Lanka, and Russia.
• For example, Ottawa, Canada, will no longer have a center, while new exam centers for JEE examinations have been added in Munich, Germany, and Abu Dhabi, UAE (Dubai).
• Other countries, such as Bahrain, Indonesia, Kuwait, Malaysia, and the USA, will continue to host the exam, while some cities in Indonesia, like Jakarta, have been replaced by West Java as the exam location.

The exam-conducting authority has made some significant updates related to the JEE Main 2025 exam centers, including the addition of new cities across India. For the applicants reference, the names of newly added cities that have been added as exam centers in different states are as follows:

• In Rajasthan, Bharatpur has been added as a new center for JEE Mains 2025. The city code for Bharatpur will be RJ16.
• Similarly, other new centers include Jagtial in Telangana (city code TL15).
• Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu (city code TN13)
• Nagercoil in Tamil Nadu (city code TN24)
• Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh (city code UP21)
• Rai Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh (city code UP37)
• Paschim Medinipur in West Bengal (city code WB13)
• Purba Medinipur in West Bengal (city code WB14) and Murshidabad/Baharampur in West Bengal (city code WB21).

Furthermore, new exam centers for JEE Mains 2025 have been added abroad as well. In Indonesia, West Java will replace Jakarta as the new exam city, with the city code ZZ02. Additionally, Germany’s Munich has been added as a new center, with the city code ZZ05.

Applicants are allowed to change their preferred exam center during the JEE Main 2025 application form correction process. However, once the NTA JEE city intimation slip is released, no changes can be made to the exam center. It is important to select the preferred exam center carefully while filling out the application form for the session 1 examination. Here is how they can change the JEE Main 2025 exam center:

• Visit the NTA's official website, @jeemain.nta.nic.in.
• Click on the "Application Form Correction" link given on the homepage.
• Enter the JEE Main application form number and password to proceed with the change.
• Click on ‘Sign In."
• Go to the "Correction in Application Form" section.
• Make the necessary changes related to the JEE Mains exam center preference.

To ensure a smooth entry at the JEE Main 2025 exam center, applicants must carry certain important documents.
