Six Tips to Ensure Error-Free CAT 2023 Form Submission

Here are some essential tips to ensure a smooth and accurate CAT 2023 registration and application submission:
  1. Submit Before the Deadline: Given the high number of yearly CAT applicants (over 2 lakh), it's wise to avoid waiting until the last day to submit your form. Potential server-related issues could cause delays in registration. CAT registration must be done online, and if not submitted on time, you won't be able to take CAT 2023. Submitting early also improves your chances of getting your preferred test center in your chosen city.
  2. Provide Accurate Contact Details: During CAT 2023 registration, use an email ID and phone number that you actively use. OTPs for validation, user IDs, passwords, and call letters from IIMs will be sent to these contacts. All CAT-related communication, including admit card notifications and results, will be sent to this address. Remember, contact details cannot be changed once registered.
  3. Review Thoroughly Before submission. Verify every detail in the CAT 2023 application form before submitting. Each piece of information must be accurate and match documents like birth certificates and mark sheets. Institutes verify these details during MBA admissions. Since the application form can't be edited post-submission, ensure accuracy before clicking 'submit'.
After submission, you have two options:
  • Wait for the CAT form correction window to edit specific fields like percentage of marks, work experience, and selected programs.
OR
  • Fill out a new CAT 2023 form using a new email ID and phone number.

4. Choose Test Cities Wisely: While you can select up to six preferred test cities for CAT 2023, the final allotment depends on seat availability. You won't have control over choosing your specific exam slot (morning, afternoon, or evening). Therefore, make thoughtful selections among the six cities. Opt for places you can easily reach and stay for the exam day to ensure convenience.

5. Fee Submission: Your CAT 2023 application process concludes with a successful fee payment. Debit or credit cards and net banking can be used for this purpose. Make sure your card is operational and has not expired. Enter transaction details carefully, and don't forget to save the acknowledgment or receipt after fee payment.

6. Upload Photo and Signature: Completing your CAT 2023 application necessitates uploading a passport-size photo and a scanned signature. During form filling, attach a recent passport-sized photo (30mm x 45mm) in JPEG or JPG format, not exceeding 150 KB. For the signature, ensure clarity against a white background within 80mm by 35mm dimensions. If photo or signature dimensions, format, or size are incorrect, the application won't be accepted.

How many test cities can I select for CAT 2023?

You can choose up to six test cities. However, actual allotment depends on seat availability, and you won't be able to pick your exam time slot.
