NEET Cut Off 2023 Tie Breaking Process
In the event of a tie between two or more candidates in terms of their NEET cutoff qualifying scores, specific tie-breaking criteria will be employed. It is important to note that for NEET 2023, the previously used age-based tie-breaking method has been eliminated. Instead, the following steps, listed in order of preference, will be utilized to resolve ties and establish the NEET merit list:
Higher marks in Biology: Candidates with higher scores or percentiles in the Biology section (including Botany and Zoology) will be given priority in the merit list.
Higher marks in Chemistry: If the tie persists, the candidate’s marks or percentiles in the Chemistry section will be taken into consideration.
Number of incorrect answers: In the event that the tie still remains unresolved, preference will be given to candidates who have attempted fewer incorrect answers and more correct answers.
