UGC NET Konkani Exam 2024: The National Testing Agency conducts the UGC NET Konkani Exam 2024 on behalf of the University Grants Commission. Normally, it is conducted twice a year, first in June, and again in December. However, this year, the tests for June 2024 were rescheduled for August–September 2024 on security grounds. Now, the UGC NET test for 2024 is going to be held from 21st August 2024 to 4th September 2024.

The test shall be utilized to assess candidates for Assistant Professor posts and awarding of Junior Research Fellowships for the study of Konkani language and literature. For those desirous of taking up academic and research careers in Konkani studies, it is a necessary first step. The examination will consist of two papers: Paper I will intend to assess the candidate's aptitude for general teaching and research, and Paper II will be based on Konkani. The Examination will be a Computer-Based Test (online).

UGC NET Konkani Exam 2024

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will administer the UGC NET Konkani Exam 2024 nationwide in August of that year. The exam was originally slated for June 2024, but due to security concerns, it had to be rescheduled. Two examinations, one worth 100 marks for Teaching and Research Aptitude and the other worth 200 marks for Konkani Language, will be tested computer-based. A Master's degree in Konkani or a closely related field from an institution approved by UGC is required for this, with the minimum grades earned varies depending on the category. Additionally, there is the JRF Position, which has an age restriction of up to 30 years old, and for the position of Assistant Professor.

The NTA conducts the CBT mode UGC NET Exam 2024 for checking eligibility for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellow post in Konkani language and Literature. UGC NET Konkani Exam 2024 is composed of two computer-based papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Only those applicants who have a Master's in Konkani language or literature from a recognized university shall be eligible to take the exam. The qualifying marks have been set at 55% for General, Unreserved, OBC-NCL, and General-EWS; and 50% for SC, ST, PWD, and the Third gender. UGC NET Konkani Exam 2024 Eligibility

The UGC NET Konkani 2024 Exam is scheduled for August 21st to September 4th, 2024. There are special UGC NET Konkani eligibility requirements. To take the 2024 UGC NET Konkani Exam, candidates must meet the following requirements: Educational Qualification
  • To be considered for the position, candidates must have a Master's degree in Konkani language or literature from a recognized university, demonstrating a strong foundation in the language's complexities.
  • Those who obtained their PhD on or before September 19, 1991, are entitled to a 5% decrease in aggregate marks without lowering the minimum marks required, as well as a relaxation from 55% to 50% for appearing in the NET, regardless of the date of declaration of results.
  • Before December 1, 2002, applicants who passed the UGC-accredited State Eligibility Test were only eligible to apply for Assistant Professor positions in India at universities or colleges in the state where they took the SET. They will also be exempt from appearing on the NET.
Minimum Marks
  • The General category demands a minimum of 55% in their Master's degree, whereas OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD, and Transgender applicants must have a minimum of 50%. Diverse applicants can apply using these inclusive criteria.
  • If you plan to take the test during your master's graduation year, ensure sure the minimum percentage is achievable at the time of the result announcement.
Age Limit
  • Because Assistant Professor positions with the UGC NET certificate do not have an age limit, any candidate can sit for the exam and be considered for these teaching roles.
  • The UGC NET awards Junior Research Fellowships to qualifying individuals. The age restriction for JRFs will be 30 years as of the beginning of the month of examination, and they will give funding for research.
UGC NET Konkani Exam 2024 Age Limit The age limits for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor positions are specified in the UGC NET Konkani Exam 2024. The maximum age limit for JRF candidates is 30 years; however, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD, and female candidates may be exempt for five years.
