AKTU B.Tech Admission Application Steps

The application process for AKTU B.Tech admissions includes several stages:

1. Account Creation:

• Visit the UPTAC admission portal and click "Register".

• Submit details like your registered email ID and mobile number.

• Verify with an OTP and enter a CAPTCHA code to complete registration.

• Review and agree to the provided instructions.

2. APAR ID and Digilocker Integration:

• Log in directly and verify using your APAR ID. If you do not have one, you must create it.

• Link your Digilocker account to the portal.

• Your APAR ID will be downloaded and verified using an OTP.

3. Document Submission via Digilocker:

• Submit required documents via DigiLocker, where applicable or upload them as per portal instructions. 

4. Dashboard Access & Personal Information:

• Upon successful registration, your application dashboard will appear.

• Confirm personal details like your name and date of birth.

• Complete sections for family details and your address.

5. Document Upload & Final Review:

• Upload all other necessary documents as specified in the UPTAC Candidates Guide.

• Carefully review the entire application for any errors. An edit option is available for corrections.

• Ensure all photographs are uploaded correctly.

6. Application Fee Payment:

• Pay the application fees using various methods, including card, net banking, NEFT, or UPI (via QR code).

7. Program Application and Course Selection:

• After creating your profile, select your preferred B.Tech programmes and branches.

• Enter academic details, including your JEE Mains scorecard.

• Confirm your chosen course preferences and counselling priorities.

Specific Eligibility & Academic Requirements

• Category Certificates (EWS, OBC-NCL): Even if not used during the JEE Mains application, the latest category certificates (for the current academic cycle, e.g., 2026-27) can be utilised during AKTU counselling. Using a category certificate provides the advantage of a lower cutoff and, therefore, a higher chance of admission.

• Required documents: Class 10th marksheet, email address, mobile number, and other documents as specified on the UPTAC portal.

• Non-JEE Mains Qualified Students:

• UP Domicile: Some seats are available for UP domicile candidates based on their 10+2 marks.

• Private Colleges: Some private colleges may have management quota seats, but the percentage varies by institute. 

Importance of Graduation CGPA

While 10th and 12th board percentages are not a factor for GATE eligibility, students should aim to maintain a minimum CGPA of 6.5 to 7.0 in their graduation (B.Tech). This graduation CGPA is crucial for:

• Eligibility for government job applications.
