Educational Qualification: B.Sc. degree with at least 60% marks, plus 1 year of experience in Science Communication.

Technical Officer:

Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech or M.Sc./MBA in relevant fields (Civil, Chemical, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry, Geoinformatics, Geology) with at least 55% marks.

CSIR Neeri Selection Process 2026 comprises the trade test/skill test and written exam.

Trade Test / Skill Test: The institute will screen applications and invite candidates to a Trade Test, which is qualifying in nature.

Written Exam: Candidates who pass the Trade Test take a competitive written test with three papers:

Paper-I: Mental Ability Test (50 questions, 100 marks, no negative marking).

Paper-II: General Awareness (25 questions) and English Language (25 questions) with negative marking.

Paper-III: Questions on the specific subject/discipline (100 questions, 300 marks) with negative marking.
Final selection is based on marks scored in Paper-II and Paper-III.
